Here's another one. I've not made it but may for holiday gifts.
Frosted Pecans
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups pecan halves
In large saucepan, combine milk, sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla extract. Cook to soft ball stage (238 degrees on a candy thermometer) over medium heat on stovetop. Remove from heat.
Add pecans, stirring until coated. Turn mixture onto waxed paper and separate to prevent clumping. Cool completely. Store at room temperatre in airtight containers.
Yield: Approx. 4 cups.
