    Basil Pork Chops

These tender, glazed chops sent in by Lisa Gilliland of Fort Collins, Colorado, get great flavor from a little brown sugar, chili powder and dried basil. The fast-cooking entree is sure to make a regular appearance at your dinner table.

    Re: Basil Pork Chops

I have a ton of fresh basil, I wonder if it will work with fresh as opposed to dried basil. Any ideas?

I think the fresh basil would burn before the meat was cooked.

I woudl think you would have to add the fresh basil later int he cooking...and less of it....I wonder what would happen if you sliced the chop on it's side and slide the fresh basil inside?

Or added chopped fresh basil at the end and left on for yummy flavor!

Where does it say anything about fresh basil? The recipe calls for dried basil. joygirl

I don't see anywhere that states you are to use fresh basil.
