    Canadian Corner 27/12/07

    Good Morning CC Friends

Have no idea what the weather man has in store, I thought last night they were talking about ice pellets, but so far calm and thats a good thing because I need to get to work.

Paulette, hope the oitment for our eye is working. Hope you get the sewing done that you need shortly. Are you having storms there, it looked like it on our weather map.

YF- back to the grind for you - now its start all over with New Years coming.

Niagara - hope you find a couple of dishes that will work for you at work. Seven days straight, hope the customers are pleasant to you. LOL

Dolores - hope you are feeling better.

Laura - hope you and DH are over your flu.

Katie - hope you don't come down with what the rest of the family had or you will be sending flyers out cancelling your party. LOL Anything to put Dave to work.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Good morning Crea and all who follow.

I posted a fairly long post last night,  but it went to the moon.  Poor thing,  it couldn't find its way here.

I used Vick's Vapor rub on the soles of DH's feet and put warm socks on him for a few nights when he went to bed.  (I got that idea from several who posted here last cold season). DH had a terrible cold,  not the flu.  So far his flu shot is working.  I'm OK now.

I think he picked up a wicked bug when he was visiting his DB at the hospital.  It's been 80+ days his DB has been there.  DH hopes to resume his visitis  (been away from visits for a week now).

Plans are full of spaces today....so will just let today unfold gradually.  I'm off to get my hair done at 6 am (yesterday,  salon was closed).  Sure messes up my "carved in stone" routine.....smile.

     Good morning early birds

I've been up for a couple of hours now trying to find quiet things to be prooductive.  The deer just set off the alarm again so I think DH will be up shortly.

My plans for today are simply to go with the flow of whatever comes up.  I have a couple of phone calls to make and a baby gift to attend to.  My DB's  wife had their 3rd boy 10 days ago. I will need to get more milk and fruit. Oh gosh, I've started a list!!

Have a super day each and every CC'er.

    Hi Crea,

We had a group of about four deer that visited the garden all summer.  I wasn't happy when they munched off almost all my rows of early peas.  It seems from the tracks they leave, the numbers have grown to 8 or 9,   They like to root out the leftover potato tops from under the snow cover.. The entire potato patch has been pawed up.  They have also visited  a circuit by the granaries and barns most nights.  THe alarm just went again!!

Well, the deer are partying at our house this morning.  There are  4 right here at the house, just as if they live here.  Maybe they do!!

I will start some seeds next month but will start in the gardens hopefully by mid April.  I have many other projects to attend t before then.

DH says there are 5 deer now.

    Better get some brekkie.

    Good Morning Crea and Friends,

We have a couple of early birds here, Pat, when the ground is covered with snow it's hard for the animals to find food. They know where to go,  your place they will always find something to munch on.

Crea, you are working as well today, back to the normal routine. I went to bed early lasy night I needed a good nights sleep and feel much better today.

We didn't get the ice pellets either, I find it too warm for the winter season., I'm speaking for this area SW Ontario.

Did my laundry yesterday, didn't do too much else. Back to our diets or should we wait till after New Years?

YF- the diet has to start here shortly. LOL I still have some baking left so if I don't pond it off it will be down the shute. Leaving it in the freezer will only temp me.

    Re: Canadian Corner 27/12/07

    Good Morning!

A few things on my schedule today - a trip to the Bath & Body Works store this morning as I want to hit their Semi-Annual Sale, a trip to the big grocery store in the next town and then a trip to the sewing machine, I have GOT to get my sister's gift done between today & tomorrow!

My eye is getting better even though it doesn't look like it first thing in the morning.  By the time I go to bed at night, it's looking pretty good!  At least it's not painful anymore, just itches like the dickens!  I have no idea what that's about, but as long as it's itching and not hurting I can live with it.  The pills are doing a number on my stomach even though I'm eating.  The ointment is just plain annoying - what a sticky mess!  LOL

It snowed here yesterday, none today, but more tomorrow.  Oh goody.......NOT!  We're already 8" above normal.  They said that last year at this time we had 1" on the ground - this year I think that they said Minneapolis had 18" and we have more than they.  UGH!

Wishing you all a great day, I'm headed for either the couch or the shower - can't decide which!  LOL  I guess that I'm just tired of my sleep getting interrupted every night in order to take the meds and it's catching up to me these last couple of days.

    Paulette
