    Hot and Spicy Peanuts

    Hot and Spicy Peanuts

    Garlic and chili powder spice up this make-ahead snack.

    Prep Time:5 min
    Start to Finish:30 min
    Makes:2 cups peanuts

     

    2 teaspoons vegetable oil
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    2 cups unsalted dry-roasted peanuts
    2 teaspoons chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1. Heat oil in 8-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in oil, stirring occasionally, until garlic is golden brown; remove garlic and discard.
    2.

    Stir peanuts and chili powder into skillet. Cook over medium heat about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peanuts are warm; drain. Sprinkle with salt. Cool completely. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature up to 1 month.

    The peanuts sound yummy, but those cheese sticks look amazing!

    These sound great! My husband and I snack on a lot of Peanuts...good protein you know!

    Thanks for the quick and easy recipe!  I misread a recipe, bought 5 cups of roasted, unsalted peanuts at the health food store, and when I got home, realized I only needed 5 oz!  Now what?  Unsalted peanuts are not edible, blech.  Your recipe saved the day.  I doubled it, since I had so many peanuts, and we're having them tomorrow during the SuperBowl.
