Prayer Circle Saturday January 26th, 2008

    God’s Blessings My Friends!

    How important is the Bible?

Your principles have been the music of my life throughout the years of my pilgrimage. I reflect at night on who you are, O Lord, and I obey your law because of this.

    Psalm 119:54-55 NLT

    The testimony of presidents

The Bible was clearly important to many American presidents. A few examples:

It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible.

    George Washington

The whole inspiration of our civilization springs from the teachings of Christ and the lessons of the prophets. To read the Bible for these fundamentals is a necessity of American life.

    Herbert Hoover

In regard to this great book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to found portrayed in it.

    Abraham LIincoln

Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet-anchor of your liberties; write its precepts in your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for all the progress made in true civilization, and to this we must look as our guide in the future. Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.

    Ulysses S. Grant

I have had a busy day and I am totally exhausted....I wanted to go back and read the posts but I'm about ready to drop.  I will try to get there tomorrow but until then know that I am praying for each of you.  God knows your needs so I will just tell Him your names and He will answer.

Mama:  I love you and Daddy and am praying for you!

Amen! God's Word is a great treasure! Let's not take it lightly.

Remember to pray for our pastors and others ministering in our churches this week-end, that they will boldly proclaim the authority of God's word without apology; that we will come with hearts prepared and ears to hear; that there will be everlasting and life-changing fruit; and above all, that God will be glorified.

Beth's visit went well, and I told her I couldn't do it tomorrow.

Please pray for Evan. He will be traveling by bus to Indianapolis tomorrow to visit friends. Pray for safe travel, especially since we've had some crazy weather. Thanks! Deb

    Hi friends-

I saw my OB/GYN today and there is no cause for alarm or drastic measures.  I've got an issue that we need to watch and evaluate in the future, but right now, there is no need to take action.  I feel blessed that there is no serious issue.  Thank you for your prayers!   What a blessing you are to me.

Charlie, I understand "totally exhausted".   I was so tired this afternoon that I couldn't nap and then after supper I fell asleep in my chair and just now woke up--excuse the grammar but I'm still fuzzyheaded. ;)  So praying, Dear Charlie, that you have a good night's rest!  Praying too that our U.S. Presidents will continue to value the Bible!  But even so, as Josiah said, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Now here's what we found out today:  Eddie's laser surgery on his left eye went well. He's awake now and feeling fairly well. This was needed due to damage from his diabetes. He had the surgery before but his eyes were messing up again and he was starting to have problems seeing. He will have the other eye done on Feb. 22.   Also, his carotid artery test showed that he does have some plaque buildup but no blockage at this time.  Praise God!   His tests results are being sent to his medical Dr. for futher evaluation.   Thanks to all of you for your prayers!  Lots of hugs!

Deb, Praise God that you are OK!  That is scary!

Now, Dear Friends, I will check back and be sure to be praying for all of you!

    Sending hugs to all!

Patty, he had a little pain as the meds wore off but it was past his lunch time when the surgery was over so we went to eat and came home and he had a nap and now he says he's feeling pretty good.  The Dr. says his vision in that eye will be a little blurred for a few days but he says it's not bad--he had been seeing a black spot before.  So Praising God!

How's Kenneth doing? Is everything working out for him at school?  Sending hugs to both of you!

Y'all are the most AWESOME prayer warriors. First, thank you again for all of your prayers. God is working a miracle. The blizzard - fizzled. The roads - clear! The day - perfect. Things are working out that need to work out and my DH will be taking the trip (that we took together today) next week to finalize everything and then I will share the blessed miracle. Thank you sooooo much for the faithfulness in prayer. I have already asked God to bless each of you in a special way for the prayers you have prayed for us. Oh, I can't wait for next week. I am hoping that by Wednesday everything will be done and I can share the super duper good news.

I am lifting each of you in prayer right now and I am praying God blesses you. Thank you again! You just don't know how much this means.

Good morning to you!  I'm still basking in the joy of my test report.  I had such a good night's sleep because my heart felt so free.  Smile  Thank you again for holding me your prayers.

I'm so happy it's Saturday!  I've got a few errands to do this morning and then DH and I are will be meeting a friend for lunch.  Tonight we have an event with about 40 others from church.  Should be fun.  What's everyone else doing today?

I'll be keeping all of the requests in my prayers today.  May each of you be blessed!
