Mom, trust me, young lady you are doing the most important work there is and you are very blessed to have a hubby who wants you home taking care of things. My hat is off to both of you. Those kiddos need you. Someday you will be especially glad you spent time with them. And besides all that, you will have lots of time for "jobs" after they're on their own, if you "choose" to have an outside career.

LOL LOL the Old Biddy Ilk - sounds good to me.  And heck, we even let the youngsters (MOM) drop in and we welcome her, too. She'll be an old biddy one of these days, after all.

Funny Barbara, I worked all my life from the time I graduated high school until I retired at age 55, so I paid my dues I reckon. I did take 5 years off when 2nd dd was born and it was the best 5 years of my life. I so enjoyed it but when she started school, I was so lonely I wanted to go back to work. I had the best of both thanks to a good husband who let me do what I wanted to. I have a good retirement now but trust me, I had a stressful job during those years.

Funny, we women are all a little different and yet so alike. Your dh sounds like a fine man and I'm glad he is so good to you. Makes a world of difference and nowdays it is hard to find a couple who've been married so many years. We musta done something right, didn't we?

Hey, I think the ilkers have purple helmets or something.

Well I guess we could carry white flags and throw red stink bombs or something.

Do you think that would keep the ratfinks away?

Yes, Granny my hubby is a good man.

Now, he isn't much on choosing gifts for me.....I can have anything I want...LOL...matter of fact, later this week we are going to choose a new washer and dryer....I have mostly turned the laundry over to him....so I'm telling him, I'm buying him a new washer and dryer, LOL.

Anyway, yesterday evening, he came in with something behind his back....it was a snow white bear with red hearts on the bottom of it's feet, and it's holding a heart with "love" written on it.

Well, on the hand it says 'push'....I did, and a flip cell phone opens on his other hand, and it plays and sings....Stevie Wonder's song.....I Just Called To Say I Love You, I Just Called To Say How Much I Care...

He always calls me from work 2 or 3 times a day if possible to check up on me, and when he goes to the grocery, we play 'phone tag', lol....he calls several times to ask about items on the list, and such.

That bear tickled me to death.....yeah, I have a good man.

You know, someone, I don't recall who....on one of the posts today said I must leave a terrible or miserable life...no, maybe they said my life was a train wreck, lol.......I may not have all the money in the world, or the finest 'material' things, but I wouldn't trade what I have for anything.

No, I think my train is right on track.....and you know what Granny, my hubby and I love each other, have fun together...laugh together, care about and for each other....what more do I need...other than a little better health.

LOL...thats all I need to say...other than thanks for being a friend of mine.

    You too Tara.

No, the ratfinks would definitely still try to get in, lol.

BTW: Granny, I think we outlasted Mom, lol.

Hey Granny, just one more thing.....we will probably need bean pots or kettles....or big cardboard shields to hold in front of us....to keep off the **** (sorry, Granny, lol) thrown at us from all sides, LOL.

night, Granny....I'm going to look around a bit, then off to bed for me.....

but please, if you see me on here a little later, don't do as a poster on here today did....because I said I was leaving, and then posted again......she called me a 'liar'....LOL

Again, they think they can insult, spit upon, or whatever and it's fine, lol....Not me, Sis...sorry, but not me!...LOL

I must interject, Barbara and Granny. I just love your avatars some times, Barbara. I have to say I almost spit out my tea as I saw that other one earlier. Kinda ugly wasn't it?? LOL

We must keep focused on the fact that the "kids" think they invented it all and know it all. You are both selected prey now so be aware that no matter what you say and to whom you will be subjected to ridicule and insult. Kinda dumb on their part, but hey, if that is what it takes to get them through the day, then you are doing your civic duty helping them cope.. *

I do enjoy reading  your chats. :)

    Sage advice, Miss Labrat! Wink

Way too early on the left coast, but, we all have those get out of bed free cards now and then. I am sure I will pay later in the day, but for now, I think I will take a stroll out in the snow.

    Have a good day ladies!
