Naw Naw, dowm here in the sticks where I live it's "Hollered" whether its ground or noise, we holler at each other.

Ya'll lighten up on Mawwaw, we's old biddies and can't take no serious stuff, that's why we made us a place of our own.

Lot's going at my house, the dudes are all here taking my house apart a rock at a time, Fireplace and I gotta go. If nothing else I can keep them from fanning the door, its cold outside. Dangit I'm sposed to be retired but have so little time, wish I could play longer but cant hubby is hollering (there's that word again) wanting to know if I want mirrors behind the shelves or wood.

Please be nice to mammaWV, we're both nice and we'll not mess with the ilk. We are just trying to stay outta the way of progress on here. Ya'll have a good one.

The more I know about people, the more I love my dog!

Mountainmomma, the only reason I am posting on this thread is in response to your question about the Purple Ilk.  I consider myself a member of that group, and I am nobody's slave or follower.  I walk my own crooked path.  The Ilkers made me feel welcome when I was new to this board, and that means a lot to me.

LOL...what fun we can have in here.  Thanks for the info. Lady Fingers....I was just havin' a little fun.

btw: I used to live...as a kid....up a 'holler'....and we would holler at each other, sometimes just to make ourselves heard, and other times when we were real mad....same word...just a different sound, lol!

(whispering to Granny) Did you know you were making 'snarky' comments on this thread last night? According to a poster in another thread you did....I'm just not sure what they were....Big Smile

Of course, I'm sure anything you said would have been 'snarky' if it was something the poster didn't agree with. Guess we just won't worry about it, right....because 'snarky' to her is just your right to converse with me in our own little room I say....whatever the comment was. Huh! wonder how many 'snarky' comments we can find she has said, LOL.

I tell you Turtletoes, maybe we need your cute little 'hillbilly' lady as our Official Representative for our "Old Biddy ILK"......Of course Granny may have other thoughts about how cute she is.....ROFL

Of course, I would have cradled a big shotgun in those brawny arms.....nobody would dare mess with us then!! Wink

    Thanks for the laugh.

Only if I can be a member! Is there an age limit on whether you can be an old biddie?

Re: Mountainmoma, R U Here? LOL

Why sure, we are recruiting members right now, lol......as long as you consider yourself an 'old biddy' (even if you really aren't old)........ and are as cute as our mascot....it's a done deal!

Of course, you may be called upon once in a while to defend our line of defense.....so you will need a big pot for your head, some kind of protection so you can dodge the bullets (and whatever else that might get thrown) coming toward you....and believe me....to join our brigade....you will need protection of some kind Big Smile....and if you happen to have a single shot shotgun, know how to load it, and can get perty close to the target.....you can be one of us!

    Barbara

Edited:  Why no....no age limit at all....we aren't picky....and if you are fairly young, your eye sight might be a little better for keeping 'an eye' out for trouble.....boy, oh boy! do I need someone to help me with that, LOL.

Uhhh.....I think I fit the age requirement. If you are looking for younger members with good eyesite....I'm not it.....LOL

And I will have to go dig in the cabinets....and find my big old bean pot for my head.

Since "ilk" is already in use, might I suggest the "Old Biddy Bunch" or something similar for your group name?

Some days, I can literally see the testosterone floating in the air around here.
