I think they changed  the magazine called Light & Tasty to Healthy Cooking, like they done to Quick Cooking to Simple & Delicious.

Wonder why they changed the names of the magazine? I didn't think anything was wrong with the names before. Lots of changes here.

    Re: Got my attention

Seems like everytime I turn around now, "reiman" is making changes to our beloved magazines!  I really miss "Crafting Traditions" , next was the change from "Quick Cooking" to simple and delicious...now after subscribing for 2 years to "Light and tasty" , I am assuming this is what is its new name will be...Healthy cooking? geeze........ever since Readers' digest has taken over, there are too many changes to an already good thing! I just discovered that Country woman and light and tasty are now on recycled paper, I don't mind helping the enviroment, but I sorta miss the glossy pages, seemed to be "sturdier" and if going to recycled paper, shouldn't our mag. subscriptions prices go down?

Was anyone here a subscriber to Light and Tasty?  Will our subscriptions be switched over to Healthy Cooking now that the name has changed?  I was just told by customer service that my subscription has expired, but I renewed in July 2007 for two years.

I subscribe to Light & Tasty, but know nothing about a name change for the magazine. Interesting, but not necessary in my humble opinion. Balloon2x

I called customer service and yes, the new name of Light and Tasty is Healthy Cooking, first issue with this new name  coming out in the April/ May issue. Customer service told me no new name changes in near future for Country Woman! Whew!  Some things don't need changing!

I received the April/May 2008 "Healthy Cooking" yesterday.  I do not like the new format.  It seems like the pictures are bigger, but the print is smaller.  Since I am a diabetic, the diabetic exchange is great for managing this problem.

    Re: Got my attention

I'm tired of the name changes.  Light & Tasty is now Healthy Cooking and Quick Cooking is Simple & Delicious.  I quit subscribing to Simple & Delicious because the changes to the mag were just too much to justify paying the money.  Now I'm bummed that my fave mag is changing more, too.  I subscribed to Reiman's mags because they were different.  Now, they're all just starting to look like those gourmet mags that real people can't use or relate to.

I would like to know - regardless of WHAT they call the mag - why do all of the healthy recipes have to be for large familes?  Maybe there are families of two/three that would like smaller recipes.  I love www.allrecipes.com where you can adjust the ingredients to be a recipe for two people or twenty.  This is my big complaint with all Reiman publications.  Yes we have the Cooking for Two mag, but few of those recipes are low anything!

......ever since Readers' digest has taken over,

rpcw, I'm glad that you wrote who took over. That explains everything. Don't get me wrong, I like readers' digest, but the old "reiman" was practical. The readers' digest has so many ads in it that I stopped taking it, and since they are starting to put ads in the my favorite mags, well, I reckon that I'll just have to stop taking them also. So sad.
