Our sunny weather went away and it drizzled last nite just a bit and yesterday it only got to 54.......I know some of you are saying only 54, wish it would do that here, LOL..

Good Morning Ladies!  Not an exciting saturday in our neck of the woods.  We are going to my nephews birthday party this afternoon.  He turned 5 yesterday.  Other than that we have nothing going on.  The weather is damp and cool.  We are suppose to get to 50 today but it's still chilly this morning.  I am making chicken wing dip to take to the party and i cooked up some extra chicken and shredded it and we will have pulled bbq chicken sandwhiches for dinner.  We are having pizza at the party around 2 so we will have the light dinner later tonight.  Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning All, missed you yesterday hope everyone is well and happy. We woke up to snow this morning hope it's the last of the season, not that we don't need it. The buzzards were seen last week so now it has snowed on them. The old timers say winter is over when it snows on the buzzards.

Afternoon, all. It's cool and cloudy today. I've been to Red Lobster for rock lobster and shrimp, grilled to perfection, saw National Treasure with my sister, did a little shopping at Target, did my volunteer thing at school on Friday, baked a lime cake to take out there. Today I am just lounging around. I just made some chicken noodle soup, and enjoying a bowl as I type.

Not much going on around here today, but I thought I'd check in. Hope everyone is having an enjoyable Saturday.

Marion how are you feeling today?? I know you said you felt yucky the other day...hope your feeling better...

Angie have a nice time at the bday party.........

Viki once a year I like corned beef....and I love saurkraute....but not cabbage cooked, something about it being mushy.....I know I am strange sometimes.LOL

Hi all..am still feeling a bit down about my MIL but working out in the yard the last couple of days has helped cheer me up a bit. I am glad that our DD's decided to attend the funeral in FL..I think it helped them. DH was so sweet about giving them his blessings to go..I think they thought he would be mad given the circumstances of the situation. She was the only grandmother that they knew and I know they loved her.

We are getting the storms that hit Atlanta last night so it's raining very hard and quite a lot of thunder. It will most likely be this way most of the afternoon. We are watching golf, basketball and racing with DGS.

Vicki..that corned beef sounds so good and I love cooked cabbage. I remember one year I made the traditional St. Patrick's meal for my dad and he told me I was a better cook than my mother. He made me feel so good. LOL However..I could never be her equal when it came to baking. She was the best!

rett, there are 2 Red Lobsters here, but both are across town.  I would love it if one would open closer to us!

Bonnie, so sorry for your family's loss.  I think it was good that DDs went, too.  ((Hugs))   That same line of thunderstorms hit us during the wee hours this morning.  The thunder was amazing, but it passed quickly.

 NeeNee, I have to go to another town for Red Lobster. I'm sure we'll get one sooner or later with all the development going on around here.  Right now I'm working on a cherry pie to come after my steak and baked potato with salad for tonight's dinner. Haven't had a steak dinner for a while. I bought the cherries last fall, so figured it was time to dig into the freezer and get them out. 

Good afternoon all.  We had a very stormy night also.  Lots of wind, rain, hail and lightening.  Was watching the Alabama and Mississippi State game when the storm hit Atlanta.  Very frightening and such good news to hear no one hurt.  Arkansas plays this evening at 5:00 p.m.

Boiled a chicken today and made Mexican chicken with half of it and will use the rest to make chicken spaghetti tomorrow.  Only two of us  now and I can s-t-r-e-t-c-h a Chicken!!!! Lol Even probably have enough broth to make dumplings.....

Been washing clothes and cleaning today.  Too dreary to do any thing outside.  Have good evening all

Hi PaulaB!  So you were the one that sent that thunderstorm over here?  Well, I sent it on to Bonnie! LOL  And I see you are a smart cookie too, stretching your clucker into 3 meals! LOL

My poor little ShuShu got sick last night.  Her stomach was bloated and she kept drinking water and throwing up.  It was thick and white and looked liked cream cheese.  It had us baffled and I looked everywhere trying to see what she might have gotten into while we were out.  ShuShu will eat anything that doesn't eat her first.

The house is quite chaotic with all the remodeling going on, but neither of us could find anything she may have eaten.  I even checked the toilet paper rolls to be sure she hadn't eaten one.  DH checked the dry-wall the workers have installed but couldn't find anything amiss.  She was so pitiful, DH took her to the vet as soon as they opened this morning at 8.

She has a fever and her white blood count is high, so the vet thinks she has an infection in her stomach.  He gave her a steroid shot and some antibiotics.  He told us not to let her have anything to eat or drink until tomorrow.  Now I can see not letting her eat, but I think it is cruel not to let her have just a sip of water every few hours. DH disagrees, but I'm going to let her sip just a little water anyway.

Well, just a few minutes ago, I found an empty 12 oz bag of white baking chips behind a box in the living room.  Turns out she managed to work the bag out of a box I put my baking supplies in when I had to move everything out of the pantry, and she ate the whole bag!  No wonder she got sick as a dog, so to speak. LOL

I feel terrible.  I put the box on top of another box and I didn't think the pups could reach that high.  I'm just thankful it was white baking chips instead of chocolate chips, which could have killed her.  I called the vet and let him know.  Oh, and he said a few sips of water, but only sips, would be OK.

She seems to be better now.  She's sound asleep right now, snoring softly.  I'm headed to the living room to move that box!
