Who has been to a 2008 TOH Cooking School?

I went with JenniHusker and Hot Tomato to the one in Fremont, Nebraska.  Hot Tomato goes moslty to Recipes.  Anyway, we met at the Nebraska get-together this last summer.  We went together and had a great time.  Really enjoyed seeing the new recipes and got a great goodie bag with a TOH magazine and a recipe magazine for the Cooking School.  It had been several years since I went.  Got some good ideas and just plain had fun.

 I would love to go but they don't seem to get close to big cities. The closest one this year was 75 miles away. I have been to the old Southern Living Cooking Schools which I think were very much the same. They were lots of fun with food demos, prizes, and lots of recipes. I'm glad you all had a good time. there is one in Harrison Arkansas on April 17th  I am going to go to this one, can't wait, Lorraine C.

 I've always wanted to go but they haven't had one anywhere near here.  They had one in Akron which is a fair-sized city but too far to drive.  

Give us a full report, won't you amirose?

They are not held in Alaska, and I Washington  they are all so far.. (minimum 100 mile 1 way drive) that would mean overnight in hotel...makes for a pretty expensive trip!

I hope they bring one close enough for everyone to go.  They are a lot of fun.

Maybe I should go.  We have one on April 10 only 10 miles away.   Sounds like I'm pretty lucky.  I went when they had one before.  Wasn't terribly impressed but it was fun.  Don't know why they have to charge admission when to me it's sort of 'advertising.'  Costs $10.  I'm still thinking about it.
