Newbie here too, I just joined up today! But I have been reading for a while now.
I statrted power walking/light running on the threadmill about a month ago. I burnt myself a CD to work out to and it really helps with my workout. I started off with one short semi slow song and then the music great progressively faster. It pushes me when a nice fast paced song comes on. And then near the end I slow it down a bit. My CD is 55 minutes long and I am getting an excellent workout. The music also helps keep me motivated and you can just how hard you are working out. If you can comfortably sing along, you are not working hard enough! lol
Good luck with the working out! If the 72 in your screen name is the year you were born then we are the same age and man, I can tell the minute I turned 35, I immediately put 10 pounds on. lol NO JOKE!!!!!
