     Good Morning...

Can't believe April is about over.  Does this year seem to be flying by already?

Going to start warming up some but rain will be in the forecast for the end of the week.

I just finished looking at some pics my DDIL sent to me.  She is very good about keeping me informed of what they are up to.

I'll join you Applek with a cup of coffee.  Those first sips sure do taste good.

I have a full day and more mother's day projects to get done by tomorrow and friday.

Sending out continuing prayers and hugs to Ginny, LINY & DH, Debbie and Vickyo.

    Have a great day everyone....BBL

Good morning Grannies.  It's to be 64 and cloudy here today but it really looks nice outside right now.  Just pulled a load from the washer, I see some lip balm with thru with it, so far no icky stuff on the clothes.  I am going to go see some friends after school who are in town for a couple of days.  Their baby is one now and I've only seen him once, so it should be fun.  Have a Sonny day Grannies, blessed be.  L

     Good Morning Ladies -

Happy Trails to you, Grammy - I know you will be happy to see I think it was a cousin, wasn't it?  Sad, but glad you can go now.

Continued prayers fro Ginny, Vicky, and Liny and DH.  Hope each new day brings strength.

MJ, what are you trying out for dinner? Always fun to try something new - some are keepers, others not!

I finished the candy bars last night, and have 71 lables left, so will go get a couple more bags of bars - Kids got these and brought over on Sunday.  Had both AI & DWTS to watch last night, so got lots done. At least when I was doing that, I didn't feel like I was wasting my time.  Copyied a couple more receipeis - Need to get more of that done, if I'm giving it on Sat.  I guess I can always include some blank ones, and say they are for future finds!  That way, I would have to admit I didn't get it all done!

I'm liking the looks of this day - sunshine and they said warmer than yesterday!   Have a Foundation meeting at 5:30.  Hope I can get a  trip into the WC - I'm back on track this week so far, 2 out of 2 days, but I know it's going to change before the week is up.

Good morning Grannies. It is sunny and cool here. 37* going to 65*. Partly cloudy they say. Said that yesterday and never was cloudy.

AppleK--Thanks for the coffee, I'll drink yours while mine perks. Hope you find something to do today.

CJ---You are on the ball with your Mother's Day prep. I don't have much to do. Just would like to find a special card for DD#6. Her first Mothers Day and I wanted to make it special.

MJ---Ordinary days are nice too! Hope the new recipe turns out well. Please let us know all about it.

Grammy---Bet you are all ready to leave and raring to go. Have a good trip and good visit with family.

Lauriet--Oh no, Lip Balm!  Sure hope it didn't get on the clothes. I had that happen once and ruined a couple of things. Didn't see it till coming out of the dryer. It taught me to shake out the clothes when sorting and to check pockets very well.

Greenback--I like the recipe book idea. May I use it for DGS's fiance? They will marry in June, I think I have time to assemble it. Must get his DMs recipe for it.

Still praying for Grammy Debbie, Vicky, Liny and DH, and for GrammyO as she travels. Also some hugs going out to whom ever needs them. ((((HUG)))).

Well like MJ it is just and ordinary day around here, but hope to accomplish something. Will wash the bed clothes whenever DH gets up. May go in the bathroom to dress and make a bit of noise. That should get him up.  he he.

Must get as the coffee is ready. Have a good day !    BBL

Good morning. It's bright and sunny and so pretty here. Supposed to start getting cloudy around noon and then more showers. Guess we just have to enjoy NOW.

Apple as long as they are "oatmeal" cookies that sounds like a fine breakfast.

Cjayh glad you have a DDIL otherwise you would never know what was going on. Don't forget your lunch.

MJ how much longer do you have bowling?  Doesn't that fresh coffee taste good?

Lauriet the place that Gary worked (many years ago) he had to use those black grease pens and I put a couple of them through the washer and dryer. What a mess. Enjoy the time with your friends those little ones grow so quickly.

Jane I like to have something to do when I watch TV too otherwise I feel that I'm wasting my time too. A few blank pages would be good. There is bound to be a couple that you don't think of that DS would love to have.

Suzi maybe they will be wrong about the clouds today too.

Hugs and prayers for all. Grab one as you leave. They are good all day.

Hope everyone has a good day. I must be a tad early cause I don't see Albert waiting at the door for me.

Laurie I often wash lipstick and have washed lip balm and neither have ever melted. Now I put some lip balm through the dryer once oh my what a mess and it was blueberry flavored and blue. I had blue spots on everything.Sad

Jane I am making Pork Medallions a recipe I found on TOH. I have made some before but not this recipe. It only makes 2 serveings so it is perfect. All ingredients that I have on hand also. I do have to pick up some garlic mine got all shriveled up LOL . Time for a new batch. Oh I need fresh mushrooms also . I may skip those my DD won't eat mushrooms and it only calls for a 1/4 cup.

Apple I picked up a couple of skeins of sugar and cream yarn yesterday I want to try making the towel pattern I found. I hope it works out well. Ok to me if it is crocheted or knitted it is an afghan not a quilt. Just my take on things.

Suzi I used to do sneaky things like tht to wake up DH also. I was a morning person he was not LOL .

Well prayers for Debbie today and from me for Doug also, and everyone one else who needs them. I must go now Lady is being very persistent that she wants something. I just don't know what. It is funny the pills are helping and her attitude has changed also. She did not like having accidents. She knew it was naughty. I never did get after her I knew she could not help it.

    Re: \*/ Grannie Neighborhood \*/ 4-30th

Good Morning all. It is 41*, but VERY windy. So there will be no raking or burning today. Sad But we do have an area outback that has some old fencing and wire we want to get out before the weeds begin to grow. So may work on that.

Apple, raisin oatmeal cookies are healthy, I'll have a couple w/ my coffee.

CJ, all the seasons go quickly anymore (except winter dragged long this year!)

I tried a Pork medallian recipe from TOH once. Maybe it's the same one. Very good.

Laurie, they say rain coming in this evening - AGAIN!

    Have a good day, Jane.

Suzi, my mother gave me an "expectant" mother's day card the year my first baby was due. Cute.

Alby, no rain forecast until late overnight and then tomorrow.  Hope it just stays away completely.

I have arthritis especially bad in my center  and ring fingers on my right hand. They were really huring at 4:30 this a.m., so had to get up and take some aspirins. Still a bit stiff now, and makes it awkward typing some letters. Guess it came from all the raking yesterday. That's why I can't handwrite very well anymore, too.

    Re: \*/ Grannie Neighborhood \*/ 4-30th

Good morning everyone on this frosty morning!  Brrrr!

Didn't make it back last evening.  Went to DGS track meet and was in the car headed to Subway to get our supper when DGD (other family) called and wanted to know if we wanted to go to supper with them, celebrating DGS's 10th bd.  Of course, I said yes.  So had to go home and pick up DH and then back to restaurant.  Had a good time.

Jane, I did the cookbook making one year for Christmas.  Gave to both DD and DDIL.  They liked them and got a chuckle out of my recipe for pie dough and chocolate chip cookies.  For the pie dough I suggested they go to the store and get some and for the chocolate chip cookies just follow the recipe on the back.  I also had blank pages in the book.  I divided the book in sections, like main meals, cookies, cakes, etc.  And then I made a picture depicting that and label what it was.

Continued prayers for Ginny, Debbie, Vicky and Liny and FE.

Well guess I will go and see what I can accomplish here today.

Lily I think that it is good you have a day off from raking. I have a hard time raking for very long. I am just plain out of shape. The recipe was chosen because it seemed like it would not have a lot of excess calories. Ihope it will be good. I have the little thing thawing right now. My penmanship is lousy also. I blame it on too many years of writing a lot. My signature really suffers sometimes I even leave out letters lol . At workl my signature was often just  M J T.

Wanda sounds like you had a great evening last night. Dinner out is good any day.

Ok now I will go see what I can accomplish here also.

    Re: \*/ Grannie Neighborhood \*/ 4-30th

     Gooooood Morning, Grannies!!

A sunny, but cold start to the day.  It looks like everyone is busy this morning.

    Grammy, safe travels for you.

Cjayh, It is nice that DIL keeps you updated on what they are doing. I know boys don't always do that.

MJ, Prayers for Doug this morning.

Lauriet, I'm glad you didn't have a mess on the clothes with that lip balm.

Jane, Happy wrapping with those extra bars.

Apple, The  crocheted quilt is beautiful. It looks like a lot of work went into that.

Suzi, I'll have a cup of coffee if there is still some left.

Alby, I'm sure by this time Albert has shown up for his treat.

Lily, It just surprises me how much you can burn. Here even if it is wet we can't burn. If the fire gets away you have to pay the fire department. But then we have lots more trees here so that may make a difference.

Justme, We have a family cookbook and some bachelor guy put in a recipe on how to make peanut butter sandwiches. Big Smile

DH had to go to the urologist this morning. He didn't come out happy. He has to go for another biopsy in a couple of weeks. Sad

I will go work on my quilt for awhile and then the regular Wed afternoon pojects.

Prayers for Debbie, Ginny, Liny/DH and Vicky.

SSD#1  Not that I have accomplished much. Did get sheets off of my bed and into the washer and now the dryer. Talkd DH into taking me out for bkfst. Then had him hang the new American Flag out on the pole. Now I am going to dust furniture.Yuck!  My 2nd most disliked job. Oh yes need to water houseplants. Beginning to look a little droopy.

Lily---Maybe you can get the fence row cleaned out of posts and wire. Don't overdo and cause more pain in the hands. Know what you are going through. My hands are bad with Arthritis also. Especially my thumbs.

MJ---glad to hear Lady is doing better. Hate to see our furry friends hurting. After chat last night I found a recipe for little tarts. About the size of Pecan Tassies. Thought little tarts would be nice for the Tea. Like Mammas appetizers

Gram2---Sorry to hear DH has to have another biopsy. Hope all goes well, will be praying for him.

Well I have procrastinated long enough, the dustrag awaits and heaven knows that the dust is piled up waiting.               BBL

    Re: \*/ Grannie Neighborhood \*/ 4-30th

    Good morning, grannies.

We just got home from a SUZI thing-----we went out for breakfast after our "medical" morning. We both needed blood tests and the other one, too. Then Russell had to get an X-ray and an EKG. So, we were hungry since we had to fast since dinner, last night.

KATHIE, cookies on my agenda, too. The ingredients are measured out and ready to go.

CJAY, yes, those Mother's Day presents have to get done. What did the children make?

MJ, even with frost in the morning, the sun should take care of it for you. Good bowling, tonight. Prayers for Doug.

LAURIET, you had lip balm, I had one tissue washed with the wundies. What a mess. Enjoy your visit with friends and the baby.

Well, JANE, looks like you get two gold stars on the calendar for the WC visits. Are the candy bars to be out just for the taking?

SUZI, ordinary days are good, too. At least you know what is coming up.

ALBY, we have nice sun, too. But, chilly winds make it nippy. Always ear scratches for Albert.

LILY, I know about arthritis in the fingers. Mine don't hurt, but the joints have swelled a little. Very few of my rings fit, lately, and I have pretty ones with diamonds and rubies. At least we keep our hands busy so they don't stiffen up, all together.

WANDA, always fun to watch the kids do sports. I can even read about Robin's soccer team on the web.

FRAN, as always, happy quilting. I missed church this morning because of all the tests. BIL Carl is up in Roshot to check things out. He said the cottage was really cold. I think they close up completely over the winter. Hope things go well for Denny with the next biopsy.

We called Bradley before he left for school to wish him a Happy Birthday. He is eleven, today.

Hugs and prayers for all the grannies, especially DEBBIE, VICKY, LINY & DH, GINNY and the two travelers, GRAMMY and STYLIST.

    Back to my cookies.
