We had a very productive but long day yesterday and boy did we ever have rain. If I keep it up I will have Jeff all situated yet LOL.  We watched a couple of movies last night and I dozed off while knitting.

I talked to Doug on Thursday and he is doing just fine. This is the third hernia operation he has had and so far the easiest to come back from. He is not even bent over . LOL I think it is grannie prayers don't you?

I think I am going to go spend a little time on the  balcony and watch the birds hunt for worms lol. Jeff has new neighbors when I got here thursday and came into the building the smell of curry was overwhelming. At least it did not go into his apt. This new neighbor likes to slam doors too, makes you jump. It was so nice when his was the only apt occupied on this floor. Now there is only one empty one out of four.

    Good Morning Girls!

Boy, you sure are up early today! I have coffee perking and bacon and eggs for all so dig in. Maybe I can even wrangle up some blueberry pancakes.Big Smile

MJ ... I didn't even know you were with Jeff. Where the heck have I been?  Close living has its' drawbacks you know .... we only had that problem once with the people next door to us in the condo. Remember last fall?  The fiasco with getting them evicted ... only their odors were not from the kitchen pot. Get what I mean?? Glad Doug is OK.

kathy ... My coffee hasn't settled in yet long enough for me to start anything. Rainy off and on today but I'm sure I will find something to do ouside of the house. Lots of errands need to be run.

Good morning, my dear grannie neighborhood friends!  I thank you so very much for your prayers, I am home from St. Louis and recovering from my surgery.  Each of my daughters thought the other had posted and, in fact, neither of them had, so I apologize for not letting you know earlier that your prayers seem to have worked!  The doctor told my husband that my surgery went very well, and it only took four hours rather than the seven they had anticipated.  There is a chance that I may no need a second procedure, only time and my heart will tell.  I'm a bit sore in the groin area where they went in with catheters and my heart is running a bit fast, but all in all I'm doing much better than I thought.  I'm trying to get my medicine straightened out, so I'm up early for a pill this morning and dear husband is planning to make some waffles, so I'll put those out on the table for all of you to enjoy, too.

Thank you so very much for your prayers and concern, I still ask for them for a few more days as I hope that this procedure worked.  Eli keeps growing, by the way--at 10 lbs., 8 ounces, I can't hold him right now (nothing over 5 pounds for 7 days).  I'll try to go back and read the posts from the last couple of days, but I add my prayers to those for Vicky, LINY's husband, and others in the neighborhood.  What a blessing that I found this group!

    Good morning

This morning I got up too early but at least the sun is shinning and I am not in the foul mood I was in when I went to bed. I don't know where the mood came from but bamn it hit me like a ton of bricks so I went right to bed.  Any way, the sun is shinning and no snow on the ground. Gotta smile about that.Big Smile

MA,Thanks for breakfast, that will take some work away from me. Saturday I try to make Mark a nice breakfast, when he doesn't work and that adds to my already long to do list. But what's one more mess. hehehe

MJ, noisy neighbors in the morning would not go over big around here. hehe Curry smell, eeewwww.

APPLE, since you were already sorting books in bed, you should be almost done for the day. LOL Don't work to hard.

Debbie, I'm so glad that the surgery went well. Rest and do what the doctor says so you have a full and wonderful recovery. PTL!!!!!

My to do list is so long and overwhelming that I don't know where to start. We have a confirmation tomorrow so I doubt I will have time to get to anything then. DH said that we will leave shortly after lunch but when he gets to talking it could be the next day. hehehe

Better get dressed and start on the list.

    Have a blesses day everyone.

     Good Morning...

It will be a mild day but may get some rain.  My rhubarb is ready to pick, so might make a strawberry rhubarb pie this weekend.

I posted pics of our Mother's Day  Tea on a separate thread for those interested in seeing.

MJ...only instant decaf coffee here.  But I do have some flavored creamer.

Applek...laundry will be going soon here, too.  Our gas came down a couple cents...$3.62.

MA...LOL...yes I get your drift.  Glad that is over and you can live in peace again.

Debbie...so glad to hear that everything went well and you are on the mend.  Soon that little baby will be in your arms again.

Mamma...glad today looks brighter.  Only 2 1/2 weeks left of school for me.  What's your count down?

Time to hit the shower.  I want to go do some shopping today.  Need to get a mattress set for the spare room down here.  The carpet will be put in on Thurs.  Then I can get that room back together.

Prayers and hugs to all in need.............BBL

Debbie ... Oh, How the Grannie Neighborhood is rejoicing today! PTL for answering our prayers. We will continue praying that each and every day is better for you! What a nice DH to make you waffles ....... I am toasting you with a mimosa this morning!Drinks

Mamma ... I'd rather have a "Don't Do It" list today, myself!  My errands will keep me busy most of the morning if I can ever get out of here. It's so dreary out that it's hard to get moving!

Good Morning All - sun is shining and the birds are singing!

So good to hear from Debbie that she is doing better.

Had a good day cleaning out stuff yesterday - spent a long time shredding old papers and still have many more to do.

Boy Scouts are having a food drive this AM so filled up my bag and set it out for them.  I always have extra canned goods to donate.

Coffee is ready and bacon is done so will have a waffle to go with that.

Hope all have a wonderful day!  Granny prayers to all in need!

CJ thanks for the pictures - the tables look really good.  Hope all the mothers enjoyed their special time with the little ones.

Good morning Grannies.  Sunny and 56* going to 62* and breezy they say.

MJ---Glad you have Jeff just about straightened up. Curry---ugh!  DS#2 bought a house that the kitchen had to be steam cleaned and the carpet all ripped out and the walls all washed and painted. CURRY !  Of course it was all done before they showed the house.  They even had to clean the exhaust system in the house.  Tongue Tied  Glad to hear Doug is doing well.

Apple---Counting books? You are suppose to count sheep ! Wink  Careful at the grocery store. It is a dangerous place on weekends. Kids running amuck and pushing carts.

Ma---M-mmm the bacon and eggs smell good. I'll take my eggs scrambled.

Debbie---It is so good to hear from you. You sound pretty perky. Praying the procedure did the trick and you are back to your old self real soon.

Mamma----Bad mood? Not you !Wink  I see you do the same thing I do--climb in bed and go to sleep hoping it passes. Figure I will not inflict it on those around me.

CJ---Oh boy, shopping day. Thanks for the report on the M & D tea. I will go right over there and check it out. Have a good weekend. Guess I had better get ahold of my friend and see if her rhubarb is ready to pick.

Well I need to go and get ready for my day. Haven't even done a complet 5 as yet.  DD#6 is in Indy running/walking a mini marathon. Not too sure I approve but her Dr. okayed it as she is a trained runner and has run for several years. My greatest fear is that she will fall. Oh, quit being such a worry wart Mother.  Also have two of my Men running today also. DS#2 is in the Mini and his DS, 16 yrs. is in the Marathon. Long distance is his forte in track at HS. Hope they all do well.  They didn't get this running thing from me!  Smile    BBL

     MORNING TO ALL

MJ  Morning to you The question granny is asking who are Jeff & Doug?  What have you been doing?

AppleKny  Hi and I really like you little saying at the end of your post.  When I get upset try and think of those things.

GrammieDebbie  Morning and am so happy that your surgery went so well and in far less time than had been anticipated.  We will all pray now that a 2nd procedure is not required.  Follow your doctors orders and soon you will be fit as a fiddle so the saying goes.  Keep thinking of Eli and you will mend even faster.  God really provides

Good morning. The sun is shining. I thought it was supposed to be another cloudy drippy day. We got about 1 1 /4" of rain. So once again we have a river in the basement.

MJ enjoy those birds. Yesterday morning I had a hawk sitting on my fence looking for a fat juicy squirrel. The little guy had seen him and was doing his best to hide behind the bird feeder tube. When the hawk took off the squirrel dropped to the ground and took off.

Curry is not one of my favorite things to smell either.

Apple 4:00 is too early to start the day. What are you making now.

Ma blueberry pancakes sounds like a good idea. Have fun with your errands today.

Debbie so nice to hear from you and glad everything went well. Granny prayers are a very good thing.

Mamma the best was waking up to NO snow. The to-do list doesn't all have to get finished. Only a few more weeks and you will have a lot of time each week.

Cjayh loved the pictures of the tea. The mothers must have loved everything too. I forget is DS going to be here the next week?

Since the sun is shining so bright I can't think of any other excuse to not get busy so hope every one has a nice day.

    Hugs and prayers for all.
