    Happy Sunday Yarn Crafters!

Cathy, congrats on finishing the sweater! I bet it's beautiful!

Another gardening weekend for me. Daniel got some more fence posts so we were able to get the fence put up for the second garden yesterday, which meant I got to work in there today. I needed to do some more shoveling, then got 2 rows of peas, and 3 rows of spinach in. I hope to get the last 3 rows of each in tomorrow, in addition to the rest of my potatoes, and so many other things! Need to get the pea and spinach garden finished so I can get to work on the other garden this week! Sure gonna feel good when it's all planted, and I can start focusing more on my knitting again.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Whine, snivel, snort------I didn't get to touch my yarn or needles at all this weekendTongue Tied HOWEVER - we had a ball on Saturday teaching the scouts about aviationBig Smile - all in all, around 100 participated.  Weather was a bit of a challenge - gale force winds, cold and rain - and, yes, it was an outdoor activity.  It was still a great time!  It's looking good for some yarn time tonight!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Hi Everyone I didnt get to touch my yarn either this weekend. Went shopping on Saturday to Walmart and Menards for DD House. Sunday went to store to buy seed potatoes and other seeds.

Lert sounds like your Scout event was a big success. You are a great person for volunteering.  You are nice to treat your nurses with little gifts. My daughter is a nurse. I know how hard they work.

Marcia hope knee is doing ok and your second opinion helps you out. I hope Sterling is doing good and improving daily so he can go home soon.

My one daughter gave me my mother's day present early. I love plants so she gave me a pretty cactus and a bromlaid (sp) plant. She said she had bought them on Saturday so she gave them to me before she killed them. Smile

Connie your garden sounds so neat and full of neat vegetables. I hope you get it all accomplished. Wishing you good weather to get it done. I will get those knitting books sent out hopefully by end of week but don't hold your breath.

I have council meeting tonight so won't get anything accomplished tonight. My house needs attention also besides my crocheting. Have a great day everyone. Jeanette

I need a week off and about 10 maids to help me get my life in order!  lol... I feel sooooooo behind!

I didn't get any crocheting done this weekend either.  I worked on a couple of mother's day projects for my daughters, friends and my secret sis...

Knee is holding it's own... I am feeling a bit better, thankfully!!!

Good morning.  I went home from work and was sick all evening... yuck.. don't know why!  At work but still feeling a touch puny this morning..

We could have a cleaning and organizing party but I am afraid that it we would get one place cleaned up only to be carting more goodies home to create more clutter !  lol...

I just keep finding more and more projects that I want to make!!!  Found the cutest paper craft this morning and now thinking of all the fun things I could  do with this!!!  lol

     Have a GREAT day!!!!

no crafting for me this week... i need to finish building my planter boxes and trellis work for the house, and i have been prepping my gardens for some new plants here at the end of the month.  we have such a short growing season... kinda depressing actually!!  i wont be able to put my garden in, until the first weekend of june, i think i am just doing some basics this year... peas, potatoes, onions, and i was hoping zuchinni this year (but it didnt do so well last, so we'll have to see)  i think i will do some tomatoes on the deck where they are more sheltered... so will pick up some nice planters for that this weekend.... which reminds me, i need to finish making the bench and planters for the deck too... sigh! will it ever end?  :) not complaining too much though, i just cannot wait to see how it all comes together!

anyhow, schoolwork now, need to get that finished, and then on to the rest of it!!

I was thinking the same thing about no crocheting for me this week.....spent 3 days getting that hallway painted & papered..............then SO's Dr. appt & groceries.  Now today I find out the goat has this week off so I have to mow the lawn..........& I also want to get some painting done on the enclosed porch!

    GardeningGardening

Do have to get my Christmas baby things mailed out this week......Sweater Drive starts for June, July & August.  Did I say I made my 1st sweater..........used the little shirt     pattern & made the sleeves longer; made button loops up the front.....TA DAAAAA !

Found an easy pattern..........will try that one next.  Last years Drive brought in 1463 sweaters...............kinda scary for me to think about that but even if I make 3 or 4 I will feel ok about it.

Hope everyone is doing ok...........both yourself & your families!   SO's Dr. appt. has given him more tests & a sonagram of kidneys; then will go from there.

You all enjoy this better weather..............busy gardening time.......& this WEDNESDAY!

    :O)

    HI Everyone

Well I've done enough crocheting to make up for those of you who didn't get to it LOL.  Finally finished the afghan I was working on.  Will post a picture later as I'm off to play in the dirt for awhile when I get off of here.  I have tomato plants and some flowers to get in the ground before it starts raining here.  My next project is two doilies for my sister the afghan is headed for as a surprise.  She gave 2 to her daughter for the fundraising event last month and I told her I'd make her another set to replace them as she really hated to part with them but she's not expecting to see them until Christmas.  Then I have 2 more afghans to make for her and I think she's finally got all her friends gave an afghan from her.

Richard had some excitement on his way to work the other day. Just before you get to our house is the place we used to live in a trailer and when he got to that section of the road he found some guys helping theirselves to the metal that was still out there.  They tried scaring him but that didn't work instead he scared the daylights out of them said they left out of here so fast they lost the 2 pieces of metal they had in the truck already.  Now our road is being patrolled by the sherrif's dept.  Richard moved the metal out here and said he's taking it to the scrap place so no one else will be tempted to help theirselves.

The puppies have their eyes open now but still spend alot of time asleep.  Two of them think my hand is put in the nest area just for the purpose of petting them.  We have two promised good homes and keeping at least one so 2 more to find homes for.  I'm trying for pictures of them when they have their eyes open but Mindy keeps getting in the way.

Well I'm off of here it's looking more and more like rain.  Everyone have a good night.

    Good Morning.................

Goat We had a nice overnite rain so now all the weeds will go much better!!!  I did get the lawn mowed yesterday BUT if I  had know about Missy getting out all the time I would have waited!!  I love to pester my neighbors & the park manager.......I can just see their faces if  they saw a white goat out there in my yard!!!!!!!!!! LOL   You know those life-size wooden yard thingies......I really would like to get one of a goat!

Got all the painting done inside & on the porch! Yeah!!!  SO will put the floor moulding on today.................I am NOT doing any chores today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Need to get some errands done just down in the village; that's it!

Tomorrow is Kidney Tests & Sonagram for SO so I'll skip the Thrift Store......  I probably should cook too!   lol   When its busy here; it is busy!

Margaret:  Just this morning on the local news........people are stealing the iron sewer grates from the streets in Cortland, NY.................obviously leaving a HOLE in the street which can be a danger to small children & animals................The cops are looking out for for suspects & checking the scrap yards.............sigh!

You all have a nice quite Thursday!      DGD is 15 today!  & where did the time go???????????
