    Happy Sunday!

Looks to be a halfway decent day here, sunny and in the 60's.  Hope to get some things done outside as rain is in forecast again for next few days.

We went to that pork chop supper last night,  it was sooooo good!  They were the biggest pork chops i've seen!  huge, thick and juicy, they had grilled them and we're sitting in broth in Nesco's, we also got red potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and a huge piece of dessert.  We were so stuffed!  Of course Ben never touched his chop, and Sam and I couldn't finish ours, so we'll have that for lunch!  I'm thinking pieces on toast with a little bbq sauce.

Margie - well what dumb neighbors you have.  Apparently they don't know people do try and sleep at night.   grrr....

Glad Daniel is helping you out around the house, sounds like he's been busy and I bet it does look very nice!  I hope they got the hint!  lol  Have a nice day at your parents.

    Luv you GF!

Good morning all.  Got some rain last night, sun right now but called for more rain so we'll see.  Have church and Ginger will join us for lunch after her church lets out.  Scott and Kristine will be traveling home with Holly's stuff and stop at her parents for dinner.  Depending on time, we may head over to help unload the trailer when they get done.

Margie, hope you can get some rest later.   Hamburgers sound good.  We're having turkey burgers for lunch.

Laura, hope your asthma lets up. Is it the seasonal pollen that is making them bad now?  How are the shots doing?  And low thyroid?  Yuk.  HOpe you can start feeling more energetic.  Actually I have only started to get my energy back after about 2-3 weeks of blahs.  Taking advantage of it.

I slept fairly well last night.  We put teh memory foam back on the bed.  Felt last fall it wasn't doing much but as my back hurt so much at night lately decided to try again.  Either it was a fluke or really helped.  we'll see.

Margie, you could make that burger recipe but leave out the cheese and then just put a piece of cheese on yours at the last minute. It would be good without the cheese too. Sorry about your neighbors. Glad Daniel is helping you around the house. Will try to swim again today. Have a lot to do today though. Have several business type letter things I need to send out to cancel some things. I am just using a sort of form letter and changing the addresses and stuff. I'm sure there is a template for that somewhere but not going to hunt for it. Also going to Olive Garden after church with that lady if she still wants to go.

Have to take my nurse bag to church and check the pastors blood sugar every week for awhile. The doctor wants him to check it and he wants to see if he can track it for a few weeks. Fine with me.. He isn't diabetic that they know of but like me he is at risk. I was prediabetic at one point but I have been having normal blood sugar lately with some effort to reduce the carbs and sugars.

    Patti, that dinner sounds great.

Jill, glad you were able to get a good nights sleep. I did too, but still can't sleep past 5:30 no matter how hard I try. Probably because I go to sleep so early. I guess I'm better off sticking with the schedule as it is rough to get up at 3:30 if I haven't gone to bed at a decent time. I'm on my third load of laundry since yesterday. Have one more to go, then I have to fold it all. Usually I don't let it pile up like that. I hate it when I do that because then it is such a chore to put it all away. One load is nothing. Four is more than I want to do. Hopefully next week will not be as crazy busy, but I don't know if Banner will find a floor that will take me or not. Will give them a few days and if they don't hear back, I am going to try to find another registry that will give me more hours or something.

    Have a good day everybody.

    Sherry

I am going to start with my Mothers day siggies if I can remember

Looks to be a pretty nice day here, sun is shining & supposed to get in low 60's. We will work around the house & may get some seeds planted in the garden. My mom wants to go to Menards, so I may go with her to drool over all the plants & flowers, LOL!! I should probably work on laundry too; haven't done any for a couple days, so I'm sure it's piling up again.

(((Margie))) sorry you didn't sleep well, hope you can get a nap in later. Hope you have a nice visit with your parents, grilled burgers sound good!! Sounds like Daniel has been very busy, I'll bet everything looks great!!

Patti, that supper sounded wonderful, hope you enjoy your leftovers!! Hope you get to enjoy your day outside!!

Jill, sorry you haven't been sleeping well, hope the memory foam continues to help. Enjoy your lunch with Ginger.

Sherry, hope you enjoy lunch with your friend from church!! Will you get to swim today?

    ((Laura)), hope you're feeling better!!

Kathleen, did you all have fun yesterday?

Waving hi to all the Junes, hope each of you has a great day!!

    Good morning...

What a way to start the day, by listening to Celine Dion singing God Bless America! Thanks Sherry, she has such a beautiful voice!

The birthday party was fun yesterday...when we got there, the little guy met us at the door, saying "I'm the birthday boy today"...so cute! He got lots of presents, and there were no duplicates, so that was good. After the party we went to Sam's Club  and picked up a few things...guess it was more than just a few things as we never can walk out of there spending less than a hundred dollars! It's a good thing we don't go there very often!

I need to get ready for church, so will wish everyone a good day...hope you can get a nap in today, Margie...take care,

    Cindi

Re: June Cleaver Club Sunday 5/4/08

Morning all!! We are still working on the bathroom. Yesterday we started to cut the waterproof paneling for the walls. There are so many corners to cut around. I don't see how DH can measure it all and it comes out perfect.

Margie. I understand what you are saying about your neighbors. My neighbors will let their dogs bark for hours at a time. They are little yippie muts. It just drives me crazy. I've called the police many times, but it never helps. We have had problems with them letting their dogs use our yard for a bathroom. DS told one of their kids that their dogs were peeing on our veggies in the garden. The kids told their Mom and she had them tell DS  that all we had to do wash the veggies. That made me so mad!! Needless to say when we have a alot of extra veggies we sure don't give them any, I know I shouldn't be like this but it really gets to me. Last summer I was out hanging clothes up on the line when one of the dogs came and tried to bite me. They called it back just in time. For a while was afraid to go outside in fear of their dogs.  All I can say is that some neighbors are the pits!!! I have a bb gun which I would love to use but won't. Maybe you need one Margie!!!!

Re: June Cleaver Club Sunday 5/4/08

    Good Morning June Friends!!!

I was up at 6, but did a few things (made coffee, fed the dog, started laundry, cleaned out a shelf in the bedroom, hung a decorative plate, etc.) before coming on here.  It is almost 7 here in lovely Fort Lewis.  It is supposed to be sunny and 70 today, but it is drizzly and very gray out.  Hopefully it will clear soon.  I'd like to be able to throw the kids out of the house for the day.  I have tons of laundry to do as I just didn't have the energy to get it done this past week.  DS is close to being out of socks.  Truthfully we all have enough clothing to go a couple of weeks as long as the kids don't get their jeans totally filthy the first wearing.  Usually they can get a couple of days out of them.  However, DD has outgrown allot of her short sleeved tops so she and I will definitely have to go shopping when our stimulus hits.  I am going to have her try on junior smalls as well at girls 14/16.  Some of the girls 14/16 fit great with a little extra length and width, and then there are those that are just too short and tight for her liking, not to mention mine.  DD also has outgrown every pair of shorts from last year.  So I gotta get more of those too.  Never a dull moment.  DH wasn't feeling real well last night and isn't much better this morning.  The joys of married life.

Margie, sorry about the neighbors.  Hope you can get a good rest in today.  You are definitely a nicer person than I as I would have been calling the police about excessive noise.  Everywhere I have lived there are noise laws (not the right term, but you know what I mean) and the police are always so nice about coming out and taking care of it.

Patti, the pork chop dinner sounds very nice.  Glad it was good and you had a good time.  I have the same thing with my two kids when it comes to eating.  DD would leave the meat too.

Jill, glad you slept better.  Do you find you get overheated on the memory foam?  I have talked to several people who have made that complaint so I am reluctant to try it.  Sounds like your weather is the opposite of mine.  May your sunshine stay the day.

Sherry, Olive Garden sounds so good.  We don't go there much as it is just too expensive.  I do keep any coupons we get so that way if we decide to splurge at least we can save a little.  Actually the coupons are usually enough off that one of the kids is basically eating for free.  Hope all goes well with your pastor.  Adult onset diabetes is no fun.  My dad was diagnosed several years back, but he is so good about following doctors orders.  Last time he went in the doctor commented that if he didn't know better, he'd say my dad didn't even have the disease.  Of course, my dad had taken his meds that morning and had a very sensible breakfast.  His mom died from complications from diabetes.  I am trying really hard to get my eating and weight under control as I know I am at risk right now.

Lisa, if we get our nice weather, I'll have to go to Lowes and buy a shovel so I can get outside and dig out a couple of our flower beds.  They are becoming weed beds.  Enjoy your day today.

Cindi, sounds like the little boy had a wonderful party.  Have a good day.

Shirley, I'd rather have the storms at night as long as they aren't so noisy they keep me up.  I hope your nice day stays a nice day.

That's all for now.  I need to go switch out the laundry, clean the computer desk, make the bed, and anything else I can find that need doing.

Good Morning to Sheri!!  You snuck in on me.  I would have contacted animal control about the neighbors dog.  I don't know about where you live, but where I lived in NV, they would pay the household a visit and let them know one more complaint and they'd receive a fine.  Even a near biting would result in the dog being taken and tested for rabies at the owner's expense.  Of course, where we lived had a very lax leash law.  As long as your dog would come when called, then it was under your control.  I pointed out my yard was not their dogs toilet.  When I told them I was tired of cleaning up after the neighbors dog, they paid the neighbor a visit and informed them not cleaning up after the dog was a violation of city and county code and the next complaint they'd be fined $100.  Never had another problem with their dog after that.

Kim, My police department is a joke! I've called and they have talked to the people but nothing ever changes. Here we have a code enforcement officer who takes care of animal control issues. Well another neighbor complained about these dogs using their yard as a bathroom. The code enforcement lady said that they should scoop up all the dog doo doo and put it in a bag and give it back to them, Now how is this suppose to solve this problem? So what do you think of that?

    Good Morning June friends!!

Margie, have a good day at your parents today. Wish I could go for a visit to my parents too! Hope you get what you want for Mother's Day, flower boxes would look so nice.

Patti, your dinner last night sounds delicious!! We finally grilled for the first time last week. We'll have to do pork chops soon, you made me hungry for them!!

Jill, yes this is always a bad time of year for me, so kind of hard to tell if the shots are helping. I think they are. I go on steroids every month for 2 weeks at a time. Last month I could wait 6 weeks, got 2 extra weeks, so I was thinking it helped. Is your back still hurting from your fall down the stairs?? Better take care of your self.

Sherry, enjoy Olive Garden!! I love that place!! I hope things with your nursing job work out soon.

Lisa, enjoy gardening and spending time with your mom!! Thanks for your good wishes! Love your flowers this morning!

Cindi, cute birthday boy!! If Sam's Club is anything like Costco I know what you mean!! Always spend too much in that place. But then, where don't I spend too much!! LOL

Shirley, awwww.... thanks!! I enjoy doing it, but sometimes I get busy (like at tax time) and don't do much extra fun things. Hope the dress fits great! That reminds me, I better call the place we bought DD's dress and schedule a fitting, so they can get going on what needs to be done. It fits great, but she wants the skirt changed a bit and padding put in. ROTFL!!

Sheri, sorry for laughing at your stories, it's NOT funny when you're living it. We used to have neighbors who let out their dog every morning at 6 am, the dog hated it outside and yelped the whole time. It was right under DD's bedroom window so she would wake up every morning. I finally called my neighbor and told her what was happening. She got mad at me!! Some people are so inconsiderate and rude!! I finally had enough and called the city animal services after the dog kept barking for hours at a time. She knew it was me who called, so told my kids to tell me that she was going to call the police on me and tell them I was a bad mom!! I was never so happy as when they put up their house for sale after they divorced!!! We have other neighbors with dogs that we never see or hear, why can't everyone be that responsible!!

Kim, I remember feeling at a loss when DDs grew out of kids sizes, didn't like the styles or how the clothes fit, low cut, etc... You have been busy this morning! Slow down!!

Sheila, I'll send you some recipes. Awhile ago I did a lot of research about tea parties and how to do them in a correct way, have a lot of ideas! Happy house shopping!!

I didn't go to church today, still feel miserable. Will take it easy today. DD went to work, the early shift today. Other DD has a soccer game later today. Don't think I'll go unless I can stay in the van to watch.

    Have a good Sunday!!

Re: June Cleaver Club Sunday 5/4/08

Good Afternoon Ladies. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I've had a busy one so far, and this is the first chance I've had all day to post. A while ago we bought a new printer that also scans and prints photos. DH hooked it up this morning before we went to church. After we got home, there was more features and information to look at. This is all new to us, but I'm sure we'll get the hang of it after awhile. WE had a mass this morning for my parents. it was so nice, all my family sat together.

It started out as a cloudy day, but the sun is trying to peek out, and I'm beginning to see a blue sky. I asked my niece at church what I could make for her son's First Communion party, and she asked me to make cupcakes. Thats easy enough for me!! I thought she'd want something for dinner, but she's all set with her menu.

Since I've had a busy morning so far, I better close for now, and do some ironing. DH is still looking over the new printer, he's so excited over it. WE just  bought a digital camera that came in the mail this week,. WE decided it would be our anniversary gift to one another.

Supper for tonight will be spaghetti and meatballs, salad and breadsticks. The breadsticks is something new we found when we went shopping last week. I can't wait to try them, they looks so good!

Bye for now. HELLO to everyone.Sorry i didn't get a chance to address anyone personally.,

    Denise
