    5/6 Grannie Neighborhood

    Good Morning...

Come get your coffee, tea or juice.  It's waiting for you.

    Re: 5/6 Grannie Neighborhood

I think today will be a cloudy day but still around 70º.  Only a half day, then I need to clean out my car.  Last night DH & I went to get a new car as my lease was almost up.  We don't even need to go back today to sign papers to pick up the new one.....they will bring it to me and take my old one.  What service!  So all I need to do is call the insurance company and have the info faxed to my salesman.

Things are really winding down at school, although these next couple weeks will be very busy getting ready for the preschool graduation.  You'd think these kids were graduating from college.  But I guess the parents all like it....so it happens.

Never got back here after school yesterday.  I've caught another cold and my head was throbbing.  I feel a little better today.

Prayers and hugs to all in need.

Wishing everyone a great day.   BBL

Good Morning Ladies - Congrats on your new car, CJ - - What are you getting?  SOunds like you are happy with the leasing thing - - I did that once, but then went back to buying-I think they caught me in a week moment. Hope you like this new one.

Its nice out now, but rain is suppost to move in after midnight, and then I think its here for most of the rest of the week.

Grammy, I see you were out on the Xway - - Good for you-I'm so happy that you are doing everything you can to get out and about again.  It's so good for your mental health! We all knew the monkey blanket would be a hit!

Pat, it's good to hear that Ginny is progressing each day.  She will have a long road of recovery, but when things are going in the right direction, it makes the wait a little easier.

Rita and CJ - are your firemen around or did Lily capture them and hold them hostage???

Well, gotta keep moving - -  My paper wasn't there, so I came here-gotta see if its here now.

Tonight is the Thrivent Board meeting and then DWTS - - Who will leave tonight?  I'm thinking Mario, but could be Merissa too.

Hi Greenback...I'm getting the same kind of car I have now...I like it and didn't see anything else I liked better.  It's a Pontiac G6.  And to my surprise, the lease payment is less than I'm paying now.  Can't beat that.

Okay...what's the story with Lily and the firemen?  Was she out burning things again??

I, also think that it will be Marrissa or Mario leaving.  But I think they both are doing very well.  I would really like to see Marrissa stick around a little longer.  I really like her energy and personality.

Grammy...I saw where you were out zipping down the expressway.  Good to see you out driving all over.  That sounds like a very nice baby shower.  Now, when is she due?

Well, better finish getting ready for school.  BBL

Goodmorning Grannies. Feels so good to be back in my regular spot this moring. Sitting here sipping coffee and chatting with the grannies. CJ a new car is always an exciting time. Nothing like that new car smell...ahhh. Enjoy the ride! Greenback yes the shower was great and lots of fun. The hostess was so creative, she made invitations, little boxes for candy favors and other decorations! She owned a party shop in Pureto Rico. I see you are busy as usual with meetings and friends. WELLL. I had a message here then refreshed before posting. No message but two pages of the GN for today! APPLE I think we all have those days when we feel like there should be 2 or 3 more of us! Have to choose what's most important for the day. Looks like SO's dr appt and food will head your list today. I know all cat lovers want to feed those strays but I hate it when my neighbor does that. Then they lurk under my bird feedeer and poop in my flower beds and that is stinky! LOOK OUT the fire bug is on the loose again!! Speaking of rhubarb, I made the layered thing from the current TOH for dd and I and we thought it was really good! YUMMM. I'll do that one again for sure. LAURIE too bad you have to be inside on a beautiful day...School will soon be out though. There goes Mamma out the door on the way to work and hope she doesn't forget milk when she makes that WM stop! Driving on the Xway was yesterdays challenge today's will be making my reservation for KS City. Travelling alone and changing planes is another giant step for one who is now going it alone. Skybus was a direct flight :( I promised my friend I would do it today and I will. I did my one mile with Leslie today. A week off and I need to start over but will be back to 2 miles in a few days. Time to get this day moving

    Re: 5/6 Grannie Neighborhood

Good morning everyone!  Guess I was out before Lauriet and Mamma this morning.  Came to work early.  Had to stop and pay a bill first.  When I got here there was only one other person in the building.  I was shocked.

Hope I can untangle all these problems today.  We will see how things go.

Made a taco chicken soup in the crockpot before I left.  Hope it turns out good.  The reviews on it were excellent.  We'll see about that too.

Well got to get stuff done.  BBL.

GRAMMY  You're doing so well!! facing all of those challenges by yourself and your Faith!

MAMMA  I saw that the new DVD was coming out.  I haven't watched the previous one yet and I've had it for several months.  I'm not a movie watcher.

LILY  You're in a good mood! burning away again today.  Have fun!

APPLE  One thing at a time! wished I could come and help you.

    Re: 5/6 Grannie Neighborhood

Good morning everyone, I'll add orange muffins from Perkins Restaurant to the table--had a coupon for buy three, get three free.  I was gone from the GN yesterday, but will get caught up on the posts today.  My husband had to take me to the "babysitters" yesterday.  Since I can't drive and had to get my blood level (Coumadin) checked in Columbia, MO, I had to ride to my parents' house with him when he went into work and then my dad drove me to my appointment.  My parents don't have a computer and when I got home last night and had supper, we had friends from church come to check on me and this grannie was pooped!  In bed by 9:30.

My dad stopped at a greenhouse/nursery operation that I'd never stopped at before on the way back from my appointment and I made some major flower purchases.  Their hanging baskets were $12.95 each and absolutely gorgeous.  Good thing my dad had a truck and we had the Ranger pickup yesterday or we would never have gotten everything home--and my dad is elderly and I was unable to lift, so they really helped us out by carrying my selections around the nursery, loading the truck, etc.  My hanging plants were two wave petunias, a bridal veil and a fern (shade on the front porch, direct sun on the back).

Cjay--enjoy your new car and your half day at school.  I want a new Escape Hybrid, but it will be a while, I think.

GrammyOH, wave when you come to Kansas City!  Are you going anywhere else in Missouri?

Good morning to Justme, LaurieT and Apple, too.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

     Gooooood Morning, Grannies!!

The sun is shining, but there are gray clouds moving in from the west. Which one of the MN grannies is blowing it this way?Big Smile

Cjayh, What color will your new car be? I want to wave as you go by with it.  The graduation makes me think of when DS#1 graduated from Kindergarten. They made a hat and he was so mad that he had to wear that. That must have been a short lived thing because the other 2 never did graduate from there. Smile

Jane, It sounds like a busy day for you again.

Apple, I hope SO gets a good report from the dr.

Grammy, Welcome back. It sounds like the blankie was a hit. Though that isn't a surprise to us, grannies. Glad your trip went well and made the express way okay. Now you can take off to parts unknown. But let the grannies knows when you are dropping in. Automobile

Ruth, You sure are a firebug. I hope your fire doesn't get rained on.

Lauriet and Mamma, Waving as you go by.

Justme, I hope those problems will be all untangled in know time.

Stylist, I never did welcome you back. It sounds like you had a great time.

Debbie, Flower shopping is always fun, as long as you don't have to look at the price tag. It sounds like you got really good bargins. Rest today after your busy day yesterday.

IC, Congrats to DH and his team on the bowling championships.

Pat, It is good to hear that Ginny is slowing coming "disconnected".

Quilting today if it rains. But first we will clean up more of the mess from trimming the trees yesterday.

Prayers for Russell this morning, plus healing for Debbie, Ginny, Vicky and Liny's DH.

    Re: 5/6 Grannie Neighborhood

Good morning. I thought I heard that it was supposed to rain today. The sun is shining and it sure looks nice out there. I think the rain is for later so we have two spring days this week.

Cjayh those kitties look so comfy. A new car is always nice so have fun with it.

Jane I can always tell when you don't get your paper in the morning. Hope it come early enough for you to get it read.

Apple hope you get part of your errands done. I'm afraid I don't like to "run" so I usually try to do in all in one day and then it usually takes the whole day. Never had strays around here. I'm afraid I probably would feed them too.

Grammy the shower sounds like a lot of fun. Having to travel alone takes a time or two of doing it and then it's no big deal. Have fun. It's amazing how little time off makes us start our work outs over.

Lily are you getting the burning pile down to a managable size?

Lauriet and Mamma have a good day. Not many more.

Wanda I always loved it first thing in the morning when I was the only one there.  When everyone got there I never got as much done.

Stylist have a nice day at school.

It must be garbage day here. Our neighbor is walking up and down his driveway with the camera. I have to find out what the heck that guy is doing. We all have garbage cans from the garbage companies so he can't be trying to see how they beat up his can.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hugs and prayers for all.
