    Hello....

    Hello my name is bdett

I was digasioned as being pre-diabetic back in 2003... so far I have been able to avoid pills or shots and I Thank God for that..  I enjoy smoothies and other drinks as such. I find its best to make them at home as you can control the amt. of sugar and carbs so much better.

I was wondering if any of you ladies have any good recipes that you would like to share.. I would appreciate it so much..  A lady on another board had posted a request for one made with jello cheese cake  pudding and I think that would be very good..  Hope maybe I can find one like that.

I want to go through your recipes here....probably tonite when I can devote more time in looking. I think I did see a orange/cream dessert... now that sounds good.

I wish you all a good day and I hope to drop by and visit if thats Ok... Hope to "talk" with you all real soon...      bdett

    Hello Mary....

Yes I do want to try out the Orange Dreamsicle dessert..

I use skim milk myself and have for years.. If I taste whole milk its like drinking syrup.. But I am thinking one time I had some Choc. soy  milk and it wasnt bad..

I dont have alot of diabetic recipes and I am a big Cookbook collector.. Usually I look at a recipe and try to find a way to make it more healthier for me.. And anything I can find Sugar Free I use.. I dont mind it. I have a good friend here that is diabetic and takes pills for hers.. She will not use or drink anything Sugar Free...I am on to her all the time.. The end of Feb. I lost a very dear friend at the age of 64.. most of her problems stemed from diabetes.. she had to have a eye removed in Dec. and the vision never came back in the other.. So sad..

Thanks again.. and I am sure I find some good recipes here.. bdett
