    Dog [&] Critter Chat...5-10-08

    The tea pot is on
And coffee for those that want it

I have fed the critters and will take a walk soon.. Whats planned for your week end for Mothers day?

Just a couple pic's to make you smile

    ============================
    Deer

Albino twins - Beautiful what nature
    brings to us
    --------------
Tim made the deer feeder with the 'Browning' logo. These twin albinos

have been coming to our backyard since they were fawns in 2006. We have been trying to capture a digital pic of them for awhile, but they arrive at dusk or even later and they don't turn out. On Friday about 10 am they arrived. It was a beautiful morning and they came for their photo op. I can do dishes and make lots of noise and they aren't bothered. However, when they hear the patio door open they usually bolt. However, this time I banged a dish and Tim opened the
door at the same time and was able to take the pictures.

Sini, the Dog of the Day
    Name: Sini
    Age: Five months old
Gender: Female Breed: Rottweiler, Labrador Mix
    Home: Vallejo, California, USA

I picked up Sini (of course, that's short for siniguelas-bunding... siniguelas is a black tropical fruit which has brown markings) in Placerville, CA. I make my living as a salesman and I travel anywhere from Fresno to Eureka (about 600 miles). A few months ago, I was on my way home from a call up in Placerville. I stopped at a "safeway" to buy something drink. At the entrance of the store was a young lady who had a box-full of black puppies, her name is Jessica. I looked at the puppies for a few seconds and went in the store. When I came out, I stopped again to look at the puppies and saw a particular puppy with brown markings. That little puppy was on top of all her siblings and she gave me this sad look. I knew if I held the puppy, I would end up taking her home. Next thing you know, Jessica hands her over to me... I took her home. My wife is enjoying her first puppy!!!!!! Sini even makes my mother-in-law laugh.

Morning. Kind of a dreary looking day here. I guess we are supposed to get some more rain. I'm just gad they are not still talking about falling white stuff.

Kozy a simple cup of coffee with friends is a great way to start the day.

Lagar loved the pictures and of coarse the little puppy story. Love good rottie stories.

Have to go and do my walk. Have a good day.

179763m1hp0l29ai.gif Have a great weekend picture by DimndSmile

Warm light fills this room and a lone Mockingbird sits atop the telephone pole in front of the house filling the air with a myriad of songs.

Mmm. Coffee hits the spot, (as I refill my cup), thank you, Kozy.

Love the pictures of the deer.

The puppy is adorable. We have a rescue Rottweiler. He decimated my chicken flock before we were able to catch his scrawny "backside". No one wanted or would claim him and none of the local shelters will accept this breed or they put them down, immediately. DH heart melted with this "bonehead" and all I wanted to do was brain the chicken killer!! Gunny has become a member of our family for about 4 years now. He's still a bonehead, albeit a sweet one. Good Saturday to all!

The sun is shining brightly today.  Lawns need mowed too.  My niece is being confirmed into the Catholic Church this evening and I am her sponsor so that's my evening plans.  I have to take middle ds out to get some new clothes, as he has lost quite a bit of weight and his pants are falling off!

It felt good to sleep in a bit this morning.  Friday was a very long day for me.

We don't have any plans for Mother's Day.  I would like to not have to cook is all.  Dh and I have to go and get our moms flowers today.

lagar, that "well built" guy looks like he could crush that doggy with one strong petting!  Love the rottie puppy....I know Alby will enjoy it.

red, what a cool image.  I may have to snag it.  Everything is free game in here, did you read our by laws? lol.

Alby, I hope Spring finds you pretty soon.  I don't want to be sitting around my pool, reading about your white fluff on the ground! lol.

Just a short note to say hi, gots lots to do in the store today. Did anyone have trouble with PB this morning? they made me change my password before I could get to my album.

All 3 of my big boys decided to run away to the river this morning, don't know why. Boone never goes out of the yard. They came back very wet, guess they had fun.LOL Now they are taking a nap, 2 of them are too old to run like that.

Have a good day, BBL Marion

Hello ladies...Great pictures...wonder how that guy get the bird to stay put.

Red..Now tell me how you got those fancy fonts..

Not going to be busy for Mothers day unless the kids surprise me. I know luvadash will be busy. I think her MILs funeral will be Sunday.  Its took time as they had to ship her body up from Fla.  Its a very close knit family so I know she has been busy with viewing and such.

Still have to take that walk as I got lazy and read a book most of the morning.

mc ..I had to change my password also but I did it last night..I collect all my codes from the graphics I want to use and paste them in wordpad so in the morning all I have to do is paste the codes into CC without opening photobucket...Its the last thing I do before I shut the computer down for the night..........Now you know my secret....All I have to add is what I want to say come morning just before I post...

Well I am off and out the door for that walk.....good for the heart you know...grin

Is there anyone who could please, please give me a hand with this....again?

    TIA!

    Pat

I hope you are all having a better day than I am! lol.  The coffee was good, Kozy.  Thanks!

    Afternoon Chatters!

I'm guessing red typed up the message in Word and then copy/pasted to the reply.

I changed my password in PB today but you didn't have to.  I think it gave you the option "no thanks."  I did it anyway.

    Widdle_NY:
Now everytime and I mean EVERYTIME I go to upload a picture the thing is telling me 'this is invalid.'

First, is your PB account fully loaded before you try to upload?  I have tried to upload before it was loaded (meaning all my pics hadn't shown up yet) and I got that message.

Second, are the pics you're trying to upload in the proper format?  Formats, meaning jpg, gif and I think there's one more.

I can't think of any other reasons.  I hope this helps, my friend.

Afternoon CC's.  Just stopped by to see how everyone is.

I had to re-sign in to PB today but it gave me the option of changing or not changing my password, I decided not to since I haven't been on PB that long, my album is supposed to be private and I have nothing on there that I don't want anyone to see.  I also clean out a lot of the pics after I've used them.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow.  I will have to let you know on Monday how mine went--ds & dil called and said we'll pick you & dad up tomorrow at 9:45, eat breakfast cuz we're not going out for breakfast, dress warm. So-------????.

Hi AngelFood!  How you doing?  Thanks for the reply.  I think I explained that wrong.  What else is new?  When I am attempting to 'get' a picture, when I'm in the 'browse' thing browsing for a picture to upload it comes back 'the above file name is invalid.'  On every one I try.  Every single one.  I have it spelled correctly.   This is starting to wear me down.

I hope you and your brother are both doing well.  Have a beautiufl day and thanks for your help.  You are an Angel, Angel!

when I'm in the 'browse' thing browsing for a picture to upload it comes back 'the above file name is invalid.'

Picture this: You're in PB and you click on "Choose Files".  Is that when you get the message? Or, is it after you select "Choose Files" and are browsing through your pics that you get that message? Or, after you select the pic you want to upload, you get that message?  Not that I'm going to have any answers, just wanting to get it straight in my head! lol

    Widdle_NY:
    I have it spelled correctly.

I'm not sure what you mean by this.  Isn't trying to do this in typed messages, fun??

We are both doing well, thanks!  Like I said before, his heart attack was a wake up call for me so I'm finally serious about getting healthy myself.  You have a great day too.  I have to ago to my nieces confirmation this evening.

    Widdle_NY:
    You are an Angel, Angel!

    Thanks, but that's debateable! LOL
