APPLE-CINNAMON FRENCH BREAD
8 eggs
3 1/2 cups milk
1 cup sugar, divided
1 tbsp vanilla
1 large loaf unsliced French bread
4-5 apples, peeled, sliced
3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/3 cup butter
Beat eggs, milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla for 30 seconds. Slice bread 1 1/2 inches thick and place in sprayed 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour 1 1/2 cups of the mixed ingredients over bread. Place apples on top. Pour remaining mixed ingredients over apples. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter over top. Cover and place in fridge overnight. Preheat oven to 350. Bake uncovered for 1 hour.
Serves 4-6
STUFFED MUSHROOMS
2-3 cartons large fresh mushrooms
1 lb sage-flavored sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
Preheat oven to 300. Remove stems from mushrooms. Brown sausage, onions and mushroom stems. Drain sausage, add cream cheese and stir until it melts. Stuff mushrooms with sausage mixture. Place on cookie sheet and bake 30 minutes.
