Good morning all.   Well I actually see sun.  Rained all day and wind picked up again.  Many places around here are flooded from combo of rain and tides.  But thankfully nothing like a torando came by.   Not working today, didn't need me and I'm not unhappy.  will try to get some more spring cleaning, esp of kitchen done, and want to go over later to see the puppy.  We were too tired and they said the puppy didn't need any more excitement.  When I last spoke with Scott they were trying to get him to stay in his (cage- not the right word but drawing a blank) to sleep/.rest etc.  They named him Finn.  Ginger flies home today and Holly heads off to Outer Banks after a dentist appt.    The penne with roasted veggies was WONDERFUL.   Also really enjoyed my crunch with rhubarb, apple and cranberries and then had fresh strawberries on the side.  :)

Margie, hope you can get outside today.  It'll be too wet here to do anything.  Have had well over 4.5" since Friday.

Hi to everyone else.   I'll be back later.

     Good Morning.....Coffee

I got Dh off to work awhile ago and have gotten a few things done since then . This morning I have some cleaning that I want to do as well. I'm not sure what else I'll get  into yet...maybe a few odd jobs.

It's cool out this morning but it's suppose to be sunny and temp in the low 70*s today. Were suppose to get some rain tomorrow...Ugh!! Sad

I'm still having trouble trying to post siggies -- It seems to make my pc really slow when I have photobucket opened up in another window and then trying to post it -- My pc will just sit here. Grrr.... seems to have it's days.

*Waving* to everyone~ Have a great day....Deb Smile

    Happy Tuesday!

    Good Morning June Friends!

This morning I have some ironing to get done. Also took down my kitchen valances. They are cream color lacy material, they have birdhouses in the lace.  They are soaking in oxy clean right now,  love that stuff.  I'll wash them up later and hang out to dry.  Will clean the windows good too.  Also have soaking a new (to me, it's vintage) table cloth and doilley I picked up rummaging recently.

I want to stop at Menards today and picked up a new garden hoe,  my old one has really seen its day.  Maybe I'll pick up some edging and stone while I'm there.  I better measure the area before I go.

I am making fish for supper.  Some bluegills that were in the freezer.  I am having cheesy bread with.  Last night I ended up making bbq beef sandwiches and roasted veggies.

    Happy Birthday Belle !

Kim - {{hugs}} Sorry to hear about the dgd diagnosis, but at least now you know and can get on treating it.

Sherryh - There are lots of different sites and places to get the "siggies".  First you need to set up an account in Photobucket (it's free).  That is where you store your siggies and go get them and copy and paste where you want to use them.   As far as getting up early. I am a total early bird.  We are up by 4 for sure, usually earlier.  Hubby works in Milwaukee, so it is about a 2 hr. drive for him everyday.  So, he needs to leave early.  I love being up early, I get lots of little things done, plan my day and sit and get my morning gabs in on the puter. And of course,  all while drinking my coffee!!

Good morning.  I couldn't sleep much last night.  I hate getting home at 11 and have to go back at 7.  I couldn't go to sleep until 2 and then I kept waking up every15 minutes thinking that the alarm didn't go off and I was late to work!!  The good news is that I get off at 5, so I'll be able to go to bed early tonight!

2 more days at work until vacation begins!  Can't wait!  The kids are excited.  Their laundry is all done, just need to do a load of what they're wearing.  Then I need to do my clothes at the last minute, because I don't own very many and need to take them all!!  Well, at least 5 days worth.  Then throw it in the suitcase and hit the road out of town on Thursday morning.

I filled up the gas tank.  OMG!!  $3.70 a gallon.  Took $60 to fill me up.  I only have a Taurus. So it's not a gas guzzler, thank goodness.  I found a receipt from Nov '07.  Gas was $2.49.  Six months and it's gone up over a dollar.

Well, hoping you all have a great day.  I need to go and hit the shower and get out of here.

Hugs and love to all who visit here today.

    Morning everybody.

Belle, happy birthday. Hope you have a great one.

Margie, I might make sausage gravy and biscuits for dinner.

I'm not really awake yet. Ended up taking a nap yesterday evening and then stayed up a little later than I usually would but still got as much sleep as I usually do. Hoping I might get a swim in today if we don't have overtime. Have Bible study tonight.

Got to find my coffee (LOL). Can't think of much to say right this minute. Not sure what I am taking for lunch either. Need to get some bread or make some bread or something.

Patti, love that siggie. Your curtains sound really neat.

Cherie, glad you get to get a break soon. You need a rest and this sounds fun.

Jill, hope it dries out a little for you.

Deb, photobucket does tend to slow things down when it is open, so usually I copy what I need then close out photobucket before I paste it. That seems to help some.

I am really going to enjoy this 82 degree temp today because it is supposed to be up to 102 by the weekend (ugh) Bring out the shorts (of course I have been wearing them for 2 months, but it is time for the jeans to go in the closet that I don't use much during the summer.

Got to get ready for work. Hoping to get a bit of crocheting done tonight. I haven't been able to do any for awhile it has been so busy. I'm having trouble getting into my hotmail account at the minute so if you send anything there and I don't answer it, that's why. I forgot my password and it says it is sending it to my cox account but it isn't, and it says I am answering the verification question wrong and I am not.

    Have a great day everybody.

    everyone!

Chilly 43º & foggy here this AM; school is on a 2 hr. delay. Sure hope this clears off or the kids will be making up another day; Shelly has 8 days left including today, but the rest of the kids have 16.

I have laundry as usual, and a few little jobs to do. I baked & iced a small cake to practice on, so will play with that later. I want to make sure I get my icing colors down BEFORE working on the graduation cake this time. When I made Shane's, I just assumed the maroon food coloring would make maroon icing - WRONG! I was in a panic & had to do a lot of playing to get it to look right; not what you want to be doing when you are under a time constraint, LOL!

Margie, hope your weather is nice so you can get outside today! What kind of bushes did James' aunt give you?

Jill, wow, that's a LOT of rain, hope it dries out in the next few days! Your supper sounded delicious, especially the crunch!! I made just rhubarb crunch, have been soooo hungry for rhubarb!

Deb, sorry you're still having trouble with your pc. We are supposed to have more rain tomorrow too, hope it stays away!!

Patti, sounds like you are tackling your spring cleaning; thankfully, I have mine pretty well done with grad coming. Hope you find what you need at Menards - love that place!! LOVE your siggie!

Cherie, I'm so happy you get to take a vacation, you surely deserve it!! Hope you sleep better tonight!! Gas here jumped last week anywhere from $.11 to $.24 depending on where you go; ours is now $3.77 and just across the state line in IN, it is $3.86 or more....Sad

Sherry, hope you get to swim & crochet, and whatever else to relax you today! Glad your appt. went well yesterday!!

Kathleen, hope you are feeling better today!!

Kim, sorry about your diagnosis, but hope you will be able to find good care for it. Chili sounds good!!

Sherryh, it can seem overwhelming at times, but if you stick around, before long you will learn who all of us are!! The sigs & tags are fun, and it's not hard to learn how to do them - I learned from a couple of these sweet ladies here!

Kara, prayers that your DH will get the new job & stay closer to home.

Need to get moving! The fog is clearing, so kids will definitely have school - YEA!! Hope each of you has a great day!!

    hugs, Lisa

Re: June Cleaver Club Tuesday 5/13/08

Good morning to all!  Thanks to Patti for the info about the "siggies" (ummm, I wasn't even sure what they were called--LOL).  I am going to try that.

Today is my 24th wedding anniversary!!  My hubbie left out early this morning to help his friend catch a swarm of honeybees.  My husband enjoys beekeeping as a hobby, although last season he didn't really have time to keep up like usual.  The bees have been having  a rough time....we have lost so many to random diseases.  Still we have a couple hives left and the honey is well worth the effort!

What are we going to do about paying for gas?  It just keeps going up.  Here, it is over $3.75 a gallon now....of course, DH says that its still cheaper than a gallon of milk, and he has a point. How sad that things are getting out of hand.  I read this morning that some pumps are not capable of registering over $3.99 a gallon and station owners are in a panic trying to figure out what to do.  Geez....

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!  For dinner?  Hmmm...still thinking it out.

    There's always time for gingerbread!

Good Morning ladies. Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday so far. It's a beautiful sunny day here, but still a little cool and windy. Having my usual morning routine, and dh went off to work. The masonry is scheduled to start working here today, but hasen't gotten here yet. DH said he would call the house later this morning to see if the work has been started yet.

Today I plan on doing so cleaning, and maybe bring out my spring clothes. I always leave a few extra "odd season" items in a drawer so they're handy in case I need them. Supper for tonight will be the leftover roasted chicken from last night.

Margie you asked about the schools here getting out for the summer, I think  they have another month left of school. I can't believe the school year is winding down.

Thats it for now. HELLO to all Junes. Enjoy your day!

Wishing you many more happy years together!! Hope you get to do something special!!

Yes, prices on everything are just crazy aren't they? We are really starting to feel the pinch here. I'm still not sure what I'm making for supper either & we have ball practice this evening.

Denise, hope the workers get started soon; upsetting when they don't start on time. Glad you're getting more nice weather, enjoy!!

    Hi girls,

Just stopping by for a moment.  Ray is home this morning - so glad he will be here to help me get the boys moving.  They don't mess around with Dad!!  We have a meeting at Jason's school this morning.  It is our yearly meeting with the special ed teacher to go over his progress and set new goals for next year.

Sherryh- glad you decided to join us!!  You will love this group of wonderful ladies.  My name is Kathleen. I am 38 years old.  I live in Southern California.  I am a sahm to 3 boys Donnie, will be 13 in 2 weeks, Jason will be 10 in 2 1/2 weeks and Tommy is 6 1/2.  I have been married to Ray for 17 years.  I really like to garden(veg and flower) - out here it is a year round activity! Good morning.  It is nice and sunny here, suppose to cloud up, rain & possible thunderstorms this evening.  The boys were here shortly after 6 this morning, but they will be leaving around 9:30.  Their mama just had a meeting to go to.  They are all outside right now, ds is showing them the coon dh killed last night.  It is huge, must way close to 30 lbs.  I'm down to 13 chickens so hopefully we got the one that was getting them.  That is the problem with free range chickens, too many preditors.

Dd has, I think, 17 days of school left.  She sure is ready for it to be done.  She has only 3 more drivers ed classes.  I'll be so glad when that is done.  I hope to get the rest of my onions planted today, throw in some potatoes too maybe.

Sherry, Happy Anniversary!  We kinda have bees.  Well sorta, for years they have lived in one of the oak trees.  I haven't seen any yet this spring, but then it has been a bit chilly here.  I sure hope nothing happened to them.  We love going out & watching them swarm every summer.  I'd like to have hives some day.

Well, I'd better get busy.  Thinking of making pizza for supper tonight.  Enjoy your day.
