    Stimulus checks

We haven't gotten our stimulus check yet.  How many people have theirs or, like us, are still waiting....?

Negativity and cutting people down never does anything except cause hurt.

We got our ours.  I don't feel very stimulated, though.

You're not alone, Miss Ivey, we're still waiting, too.

According to that list of direct deposits we were supposed to get ours on the 16th May.  Nothing yet, so who knows if and when we'll get it.

We got ours the first of last week. In our savings safe and sound. And we do not do direct deposit, so received in the mail.

Not here.  Got a notice from Turbo Tax that, if your fees were deducted from your refund (which I've always done, it's the easiest), then it would be mailed to whatever bank  in California that handled the direct deposit  -- and they would mail it according to the "mailed checks" schedule Sad

We got a letter last week saying ours had been mailed on the 9th and should arrive by the 16th. And,not to call and report it missing for 6 weeks.

    5 weeks 6 days to go.....Confused

Don't know, yet. DH was needing to go to the bank today, but, waited too late. They close at noon.

Have to wait till Monday, now.

We had to pay a couple of hundred so no refund.  We had the IRS debit that payment from our checking account - which they did.  We paid our Turbo Tax fee by credit card.

We have not received any letter from either the IRS or Turbo Tax.  However, when I did our taxes  online with TT they said we would qualify for the full rebate.

    Re: Stimulus checks

Carrottop--did you get the letter explaining your refund?  It showed how much you were due, how the amount was calculated.

I would think it would be worth contacting the number on the letter to ask that question.  Last year, only my DH had income, we filed jointly, and the full 1200 was deposited in our checking account on the appropriate day, according to the original schedule.  DD also got hers direct deposited on the day she was supposed to.

I immediately wrote myself a check for the full refund (dh knew I was doing it) and moved it from 'our' checking account, to one of 'mine'.  He's thinking about retiring in about 2 years, and I've found the perfect little house for us.  I've already put a deposit down, and will be buying it myself, out of my money, so we'll have it when he does retire (it will be our second home, at this point).  The reason I posted all that?  That $1200 will cover one month's mortgage payment for us, so it's going to come in very handy.
