Its another rainy day,or at least morning. Sounds like a good day to relax, read a book or do some house chores. The critters are cozy, warm and comfortable. Just the way I like them.

Sorry I scared some of you with that video of the dog jumping out of the car window yesterday. At the same time I thought it was a good wake up call. As Randy stated to many dogs get hurt that way. Even a head out the window is to much.

Morning Kozy and everyone who happens to be able to drop in.   Boy I've sure had a time this morning trying to get into KC, then CC and then trying to log in.

AF what a nice looking dog your BIL has.  Sure hope your vet can help him out.

That video yesterday of dog jumping out window is scary for sure.  I cringe when I see dogs hanging half out a car window.  I also would like to stop those "idiots" who leave their dogs in the bed of a truck and think they will stay there.  I've even seen some of them tie the dog into the bed--not good either as the dog can strangle if it decides to jump out.  I had heard years ago that you don't let your dogs hang their heads out the windows as they could get lots of eye infections or even lose an eye if something flew into it.  Angel doesn't like to stick her nose out any windows, she'd rather sit on the seat, put her paws on the arm rest between the seats and look at you.

Well, we survived the wedding.  It was a long day.  The wedding was very nice if not unusual.  They had contemporary music, not even the wedding march.  Guess this is more what the younger generation is doing now a days.  The reception was large, and of course after the meal got very noisy where it was literally impossible to carry on any conversations as the DJ cranked up the music and it seemed to get louder as the evening wore on.  Us "old folks" gave it up a bit after 9 and left.  I did get to see my Goddaughter's new baby of 2 mos. which was nice.

Jan I'm with you on weddings, if it hadn't been Dh's uncles granddaughter we most likely wouldn't have gone.  Dressing up is not my thing either.  I wore a pair of dress pants, a nice blouse and flats, my concession to getting dressed up.  No more heels, skirts or dresses for me, I leave that up to the younger generation.   All the family went to the wedding, then the 2 youngest kids stayed with a sitter while the oldest gd and us went to the reception.  Our oldest gd said she didn't want to go, she didn't know anyone and it wouldn't be any fun---well, guess who had the time of her life.  We all went out for breakfast this morning and, of course,  I had to give her a hard time about "not wanting to go to the reception" last night--

Jan we got 2 of the bushes down to the stubs.  Still have 4 small bushes to go and then will try and get all the stubs out at once.   Of course, Supervisor Angel, was there "cracking the whip"  Big Smile  LOL

Angel wants out, sun is popping in and out.  Will check back later.

gkids..so nice to see someone...grin..I am with you when it comes to weddings...and even Anniversery parties...My brother is haveing his 50th wedding ann. and I am happy for him but its to close to my surgery for me to attend.

I also hate funerals so I am donating my body to medical sience. Both my sisters did that and it was much better haveing a memorial party 6 mo. later after people had time to deal with the grief.  Also it helps others and cost you nothing....

We get rain then sun, more rain and more sun...off and on all day....But since I had trouble with the BB I cleaned up the computer.  Defrag and run spyBot and Adaware.  Also cleaned the kitchen and the dreaded waste cans.....

Take care and I will return later

Howdy Ladies. I just returned home from spending the past two hours with my Son and his family. Irma, DIL, is a substitute teacher at one of the local high schools. She is friendly with one of the other substitute teachers, Bonnie. Bonnie passed out fliers to invite teachers and their immediate families to her home today to visit/meet her exotic animals. She has a small, legal rescue operation for the big cats. A lion, tigers, cougars and bobcats. Around 12-16 animals. Well kept and fed. I had no idea how soft a cougars fur was till today. I had seen the white tiger many times on a local television commercial. It costs about $4,000 per month to feed these critters. The lion is a rescue from a movie studio that had abused him when he was cub-broke his tail near the spine and cut the end off. No, we were not allowed in the pens. We were told by our guide which animals we could stroke through the wire fence, who to avoid AND if the big, male Siberian Tiger turns his backside to you. . .get out of the way fast as he WILL spray--and he DID.
