just one more question regarding the stimulus check...

For those of us who will receive it in the mail, and are also due a refund.  How will we know the difference?  I mean, will the checks look the same?  Will they say stimulus check? lol I know this is a dumb question but my stimulus amount and my rebate are almost the same amount.  So, how will I know?

They should be labeled on the check stub.

My DH and I just got our check yesterday.  I looked at it, and it reads ANDOVERSTIMULUS on the right top corner of the check (the postmark on the envelope was Andover).

We received ours two weeks ago in the mail and on the outside of the envelope it said "stimulus check."

DH checked our acct. yesterday, and all of our refunds have been put in.

DS and Us too, got the impt.. information about the stimulus check today. Go figure. I think they wasted a lot of money on that. I haven't opened it, yet, though. Might be something we have to keep.

Oh, and to add, DH gave me my half of the stimulus check last night. YIPPEE!!

 i think the nicest part of the check is that you do not declare it on your 2008 taxes!!!

Thanks!  Thats what I wanted to know.  Now I know that somewhere on it, that I will see the word stimulus!  That means that the check I got today was for sure my refund.

And just think--they're even sending stimulus checks to dead people!  Now that's a good use of our tax dollars, don't you think?  Just got a letter today telling me how much my mother was goinh to recieve.  Mom died last year, the letter clearly stated 'deceased' after her name (and had me listed as her executrix). 

Personally, I think that's just ridiculous.

 As to claiming the stimulus refund on your 2008 taxes.  Check with your state on that.  We usually have to claim this sort of thing as income on our state return, even if it's not required for the federal.

Im pretty sure the envelope says its the stimulus check.
