    The Rose Room *** May 20, 2008

     Good morning everyone.

Tango, I received the wonderful beautiful treasure of a quilt you made for Nelson.
Bill is so impressed with it.
Good that it came today to ease the trauma of my stupid NEW credit card that someone booked a trip to Bangkok  on, plus converting over $800 dollars into British pounds
    .

I'm looking forward to DWTS and American Idol tonight; so Diana, I guess I won't see Steve.

How did you happen to think I liked Merlot.....I'm hooked on Pinot Noir. Well, it's 5 A.M. a little early to be talking wine. The cats are rubbing around my legs so I better get off of here and feed them.

Fluffy, I hope today is better for you and that you have the meds.  ((((((Fluffy))))))))))

    Good morning.

Maizey hope this new cc can get taken care of. That is just weird that they have already got your number. (((Maizey)))

Fluffy hope your day is better today. (((Fluffy)))

We have had such hot weather here and now it's saying rain and much cooler. What are they trying to do get us sick.

I went to the chiropracter yesterday. Not good. My back is so screwed up he said I must be hurting all over. And my hip ligiments are strained and that's why I hurt so much. So I will try going once a week and hope that really helps.

All you Rosie's have a nice day. Off to get ready for work. Here's the coffee.

    Good Morning Ladies,

Looks like we might get rain today ~ I am vaccuming today and then running errands..  Miss Maizey, It's just that I didn't care for wine at all until I had some Merlot at my nieces daughters 1st Communion. So I am a NEW wine drinker but I new you were an old hat at it and liked wine :) LOL! But I didn't know what kind you liked..

Lynn, I'm sure the chiro will help with your back problems. LONG time ago I went to a Chiro once a week for a while, then twice a month and so on. I did this for a year or better and it helped Tremendously... It's just too bad it isn't Free tho :( Feel better ~

(((((((((((Fluffy)))))))))), sending you Big Hugs for a Super day :)

Put your best foot forward and you will be happy in your own skin :)

Another rainy morning in Ohio.  It;s got to let up!

Fluff- Hugs to you.  I have to admit, that is exactly something I would have said.  Not too long ago I "fell down" (like from the movie Falling Down) on someone at Home Depot and said "For F'ks sake can't you people get your s*t together for 30 seconds?!"  Hope you get your meds straightened out.

Mare- I drink vodka and bourbon...sounds good!

I will be brining a sweet red table wine but I haven't decided from where yet.  We have so many wineries around here that it's hard to choose.  I'm so excited for the Rosie Reunion!  Woo hoo!  Laura- Is the condo full yet?

Maizey- That stinks about the credit card.  I remember Stacy telling about the nightmare it was when a similar thing happened to Heath.  Good luck.

A man I work with was hurt quite badly in a motorcycle wreck yesterday after work.  The throttle stuck and he lost control and his foot got caught in the wheel spokes.  He's going to be off for about 8 weeks.

Got to get back to work now.  TTYL!

    Good afternoon everyone.

Kelly's Mission:  Fling some socks and pantyhose.  Old, worn out, mismatched, outgrown, (for those with kids) or anything that you are never going to wear need to be tossed!  Clutter, even hidden in a drawer, is still clutter.

Maizey - Is this person in England?  Hope they catch up with him/her soon.  You don't need that headache!

Lynn - I hope the Chiro. can help you.  When your back aches, everything hurts!

Tango - I had trouble getting here this morning too.  Finally had to shut down the computer and get my day started.

Fluffy - I hope they can get your Rx's straitened out soon.  I flipped out with a pharmacist too and it wasn't his fault.  Actually, he is the only one there that I want to talk to today.  He's the one that graduated at the top of his class.  Wink  Wink

Our rain has started.  It's so cold out that my heat came on this morning.  I have the thermostat set for 62 degrees but it was down to 47 last night.  Winter will eventually end and we will be looking for some of these cooler days.  Smile

Yesterday I did some typing for DH and noticed that the refrigerator downstairs was running the whole time I was there.  Checked the freezer and much of it had started to defrost.  Cleaned that up and let it sit empty and open in case there was a build up of ice.  It's plugged in again before bed time and I have a container of water in the freezer.  I have to get back there and see if it is frozen or not.  This was my Mom's refrigerator and must be 20 years old.  DH said just replace it.  That's probably what we will be doing.

    Have a great day.

    Dori

    Good morning Roses!

I've had two calls this morning to do something beside sit on my duff but I'm still in my jammies. I must  be still catching up on lost sleep cuze I slept in late again today.  Boy, I love being retired. I told one of the gals who called after all those mornings of 4:30 get ups I deserve to sleep in.

I still can't think of the name of the premium vodka made here.  Well, a trip to the liquor store is on the agenda today.  I'm into Pinot Noir too, Maizey. Have you tried Oregon brands?  We are quite famous for our Pinot's.  We had a nice Pinot Gris w/dinner last nite.  Just a half glass for me cuze like Diana, I'm kind of a "new" wine drinker.

Well, Oregon is voting today.  Did you see the pictures of all the people at the Obama rally?  This is a very "progressive" State as they like to be called.  Poor Hillary, don't think it'll be that close here.

Pip, another missing person at work?!  Just when you think it's getting better someone else gets hurt!  Hope this does n't effect your job this time!

Tango, what a lovely gift!  An heirloom!  Very thoughtful of you and I know it will be cherished!

A much cooler day today.  It was so muggy yesterday that it's nice to have a day with light air.

Dori, did we get a bunch of new Roses in the room?  Hope they're not missing you somewhere else!

    Later gators!

Re: The Rose Room *** May 20, 2008

Hi everyone - I just wanted to pop in and wish a good evening to everyone.

Not much new here - still can't get my meds, work is threatening to give me a stroke from the stress, and my stupid allergies are running amok. Oh well, things can always be worse (I'm living proof).

Hubby and the teenager got into a godawful awful screaming fight last night at 10pm, so I didn't get much sleep last night.  Things are resolved (for the most part) now. We've all just been under so much pressure from so many things, and it was one of those times where something set them both off at each other and it turned out that it was someone else that had caused the problem to start with. *sigh* They cause me as much (often more) stress than work does, which is saying something.

They are both gone this evening, and I went outside and planted one of my big pots, so I feel good about that. I still have to watch the frost and freeze warnings every night, so I'm still out there covering stuff up all the time.

I'm going to go cut some lilacs to bring in, they are about at their peak.

    Have a good evening, everybody.

I haven't failed; I've just found 10,000 ways that dont work.

It's been a beautiful sunny hot day here in NC!! I got the front & back grass cut. Got a beautiful bruise & cut on my left shin from something shooting out the lawnmower OUCH!! I even sat out for an hour!

    Bummer on the meds Fluffy!?

I brought some lilacs in, Fluffy, but they are kind of on their last legs due to the hot weather the last couple of days.  They went from almost blooming to almost *** up.  Well, they'll add a little cheer to my life for a day to two.

You're not supposed to hurt yourself outside, Tango.  Be careful!

I thought the National Don't Call List was supposed to keep phone solicitors from bothering you. If one more person calls to tell me I've won a cruise I'm going to pull the phone out of the wall. What's up with that????
