    SPOILER--American Idol

I can't take the manipulation and pimping by the judges.

Can't they just judge without their personal opinions???????

It seems to me in the heart of competition a judge should be impartial.........maybe I am missing something

I'm with you.......If I heard Randy say "Dude, you could sing the Phone Book" one more time!!! UGH!!

We replayed the "recap" portion and Archuletta really hit a bad note in the part of "Imagine".  We didn't catch it the first time, but that time around we did.

    GO COOK!!!!

Well watched not really caring to was the best. But David C. was terrible and was so happy that David A. got the best review especially from Simon. So maybe there is hopes that the scuffy David C. wont get it.

Argh!!!!  I couldn't agree more!  They should not be allowed to say who won the night or anything like that.  Leave it up to the voters to decide!

I swear, if I hear Randy say "Dude, you could sing the phone book" one more time I'm going to hit him with one!!  Dude, get some new material and crawl out of the 80's, would ya?

For what it's worth, I think both Davids were very good.  David C. was more my style though.  David A, while very on key and good, just seems to do one balad after another.  I do get tired of that after a while.  But, either way, they are both deserving.

Maybe scruffy=sexy to some. Seems like Cookie has a pretty big fan club lol

Even if he doesn't win AI, which personally he would be better off not being locked into their powerful arms------it has already been said they will sign him to a major contract.

either way, they both will--the difference=one will be able to negotiate their contract, the other is locked in

    Re: SPOILER--American Idol

I totally agree the judges should not make premature  announcements as to who "They" think the winner is.

It is "American Idol"...... not "Simon's Idol"

If one of three judges judging a different contest abruptly  announced to the public  before a  full vote compilation........... "Mary Smith" is the winner tonight!! , it would not be tolerated or acceptable.

Their comments sway many gullible , easily led listeners  unfortunately   and  next week the Show  will state "America has Spoken   " or some such awe inspiring  thing.... when it was actually mainly Simon's feedback that unfairly skewed the results.

If one listens to Friends and  Family or reads various blogs or internet discussions IMO far too many of the judges comments including  the exact adjectives utilized by them are sadly  just "Parroted" back  by many ,many (no not all... some people do think before voting) viewers

I am voting for David Cook as many times as I can tonight.... while David A. has a great voice he is not nearly as interesting a Singer/performer to me. Perhaps when he is somewhat older and gains some maturity?

I think both Davids will have a good career though.

About Archuleta hitting a bad note in the recap - they perform their songs more than once and then the editors choose which one to use for the recap.  If you go back and watch/listen to the performance that aired, you'll see he did not miss that note.  I don't understand why the editors would use the version where he did for the recap.

agree..that david cook would be better off as runner-up..i can see little david as the american idol..not sure how the producer's will feel about working wiith david's father..since he's so controlling and all..i read that the producer's want david cook to win..because they feel he would be easier to work with..i'm a david cook fan..but last night..i was pulling for little david..he was really good..their's rumor's that the biggest star in hollywood is supposed to appear at the american idol..who could that be..if little david won..would he be successful..like carrie underwood..seems like their are several american idols..that faded away..like ruben studdard..fantasia..taylor hicks..

Interesting, Paula on the red carpet.

She said that maybe David Cook would be better as the runner-up, that he would/could have a career like Chris D.

    hhhhmmmmmmm

I think AI would be better off to crown Archuleta so that the contract would be in black and white and daddy couldn't change it.

Whereas David C. could have some control
