Happy Wednesday, Folks!

Hoping our Pretty Patty is continuing to enjoy her much deserved vacation.  Does anyone know when that Dear Lady might be returning to our Kitchen?  It seems to me she said around the 26th or so.  I sure do miss her!

As for Dinner today, I am going to make a huge Soup Pot of Homemade Beef Noodle Soup as a surprise for Bob.  He mentioned the other day that I haven't made much Soup these past many months so I figured I'd surprise the guy.  Not like he asks a whole lot of me & I am pretty lucky to have him around.  Of course, the fact that the high temperature here in ChicagoLand *again* today will only be about 60 or so...some simmering soup on the stovetop will be mighty tasty and smell mighty delish.

In any case, Whatcha Cookin' in YOUR Kitchen today?!?

had left over  quesadilla from Chilles for lunch- waiting to see DD and DH schedule for tonight- to see who will be here for dinner. if all are here- we will have tilapia- if only a couple of us here- will get pizza.

Sounds like a plan, Magnet Queen, and a tasty choice either way!

Meanwhile, I'm going to go into my Kitchen and get some shank bones browned up to make some Beef stock.

Today dh and I ate lunch out, so I probably won't be very hungry tonight.....maybe a bowl of cereal?

Hey Krissy!!! cool here today too sure feels good!!!will be lucky to see 60....I am starting to get my suitcases packed to head North.. this is a huge job...and the King is SOOOOOO much help...*LOL*

Today I am making a baked Ziti, salad and garlic bread... easy and the oven will warm the house a little...

I don't care if it is only in the 50s....DH is BBQ'g babyback ribs (on sale at Kroger), I made maple/mustard glaze to go on them...he is breaking out the Weber kettle grill.  We'll have a Labatt's in the drip pan for even more yummy taste!!  Last of the Kroger sale corn on the cob.  My "starch" is oven roasted baby redskins with olive oil, lemon juice & garlic, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.  Sliced strawberries and pound cake for dessert. 

I was so tired last night that DH picked up Red Robin take-out for our supper.  So tonight I'll make what was planned for last night.  Pork carnitas in tortillas with lettuce, cheese, tomato, cilantro, avocado, and salsa, and there's Reese's peanut butter cup ice cream for dessert.

HI Krissy and all.  Your soup sounds really good.  I am not feeting very ambitious today so we will be going to our local Pizza Hut.  They have the pizza and pasta buffet on Wednesday nights. It sure beats cooking tonight.

Hi Krissy, sounds like we have the same kind of weather, windier than all get out, and not even 60º.  I had a jacket on this morning, did the last of my appointments with Dr.s and the PA assistant before my surgery on the 27th

 

Shoved DH out of the house this morning at 4:30am, he's on a fishing trip to Canada with 5 other guys, so I'm alone.  They've called home already, and it's raining there, but should clear up later tonight.  I have a pizza for one in the freezer, will have that with a pop and call it supper.......Gram 

 Hi, Krissy and everyone. I believe I remember Patty saying she would be back on the 22 but not sure if she will post that day or not. Guess that's tomorrow. (But I could be wrong - my memory is not too good these days - LOL).

It's another warm day here in the DFW Metroplex. Not as hot as the other day when we hit 99 but in the low 90s.

Tonight, DH and I are going to get our Mexican food fix at our favorite local restaurant and have their Wednesday enchilada special.

 something simple....as hubby can only have soup....he had his gallbladder out this morning...I think I might just dine on leftover spanish rice.....topped with cheese and hotsauce...
