    Thursday: What's Cookin' (May 22, 08)(6:15 a.m.)

    Good Morning,

We only got down to 70 last night.  To get to the mid to upper 80's today and be windy.

Jim will be taking Michelle to Tulsa today.

    I have the girls.

We have running to do today.

We'll eat lunch out, not sure where.

    Enjoy this beautiful day.

    ENCOURAGING WORDS

Imagine how great it would be to have someone providing you with a constant supply of encouragement. When you get in the habit of encouraging yourself, that is exactly what you can have.

All day long, you are thinking and saying things to yourself. You have the power to choose precisely what those thoughts and those words will be.

Choose to make them positive, uplifting, and encouraging. Make good use of the thousands of opportunities you get each day to provide yourself with support and direction.

When you catch yourself mentally beating up on yourself, decide to stop such destructive behavior right then and there. Instead, give yourself a few words of real, sincere encouragement and notice how much more energized and effective you immediately feel.

In addition, get in the habit of offering encouragement to others whenever you get the chance. That will make you more likely to send even more encouragement in your own direction.

During each waking moment, you are constantly thinking or talking to yourself or others. Choose to use all that dialogue to move yourself and your world in a positive direction.

We'll be having swedish meatballs over noodles, and some other veggie. It is to be in the low 90's today, with a 30% chance of rain. Have a good day! Tammy

It has been so long since I have responded to a post that I almost forgot how. I do drop by to get a good recipe or two every now and again though. I miss chatting with so many of you and there are so many new people here. WOW!

Tonight I am going to grill some boneless skinless chicken breast that I have marinated in a lime balsamic vinegar marinade, make some homemade cream corn and have some green beans.

I bought a cantalope but when I cut it open it was just too mushy on the inside. I was disappointed...oh well. I guess I will have to find some thing else for dessert!

I hope everyone has been doing okay. I am going to have so spend some time read the posts and catching up!

    Have a great day! -DK

    Good Day All.

Overcast and cool.  Looks like rain which is something we never get this time of year in San Diego.  We may get rain tomorrow and Saturday.

Dinner tonight will be tostadas, spanish rice and refried beans.  We have Mexican once a week as the kids love it.

I am so happy about the AI results.  It was a great season.

    Have a great day.

Coolish day here in Mass.  Not much sun either.  Expecting a good weekend tho.  Guess will skip Mellisa's game this afternoon--it's in a town 10 mi from here.  Would be ok it the weather was nice, but don't feel like sitting in the cold (and maybe rain).

Making spaghetti sauce with hamburg and sausages for tonite with fettucine.  Also salad I guess.

Have a good day all.  Welcome back Daddyskricket--we've mised you.

    Hi everyone,

Been cool & dull here most of the day, with the odd spot of sun and the odd shower.  Can't make up its mind.

I think supper tonight is just going to be something on the fly, hubby won't be home 'til late so whatever is in the fridge i.e some leftover asparagus soup or if it's dry when I decide to eat I may throw a hamburger on the grill.

Good to see you back DK.

    Have a good evening.

Well has been awhile ~ Been working hard at a new job. I did cut down to 6 hrs a day. Thats is enough for me. I still come home tired. Must be old age.....do you think??? We have camper pulled over to the lake and it rained here and cold so going to stay at home tonight. Is only 5 miles away.

So going to clean up leftovers in refig. for supper have roast beef, and chicken both in there. We had rain here so can't mow either. Thats o.k. I am tired and ready to call it a day!!

    Have a nice night!
