New Product Review at Aldi Bacon Wrapped Beef Filet- Not a Typo $1.99!!!!!

 

 

 

 

I was extremely hesitant to purchase  Bacon Wrapped Beef Filet 5 ounces  hand cut , about an inch thick individually packaged for $1.99.  I wondered what kind of shoe leather I would be wasting  money on.

 

 

 

Ok   for 2 bucks I'll "Bite" I decided (Pun intended) but I only bought two.

Boy was that a mistake ! , these were so tender and juicy DH wanted more  , the sooner the better .

 

 

I ventured back just in time to witness a man approaching an Aldi employee and purchasing  all the available filets and those from the stock room as well.

Third trip I did find one filet  only  which I purchased  for DH.

If you get the chance and like beef  these are far better than a couple burgers from  a Fast Food Dollar menu. Going back this week . (Smile)

I have never been to an Aldi store before~  But this will definately get me in the front door~  Thanks for the alert~  Janie~  Throw a Lobster Tail next to that puppy and whoa, what a meal~

Is this store like a Sams club or BJ's  ~

It is a small scale type of Sam's I guess you can say Janie. You do not need to buy in quantity. It is European based (German) I believe, and the same investers are connected Trader Joes.

Aldi  has a no- frills appearance and you bring your bags or buy them, but their fresh produce/meats $2.99 lovely  long stemmed Roses or assorted Bouquets and most other items have great prices and they have a really great return policy if you do not like something. It is a double guarantee.Aldi sells basic grocery needs at a savings.They also have special purchases like Barbecues, Hope chests , Atomic Clocks, Slow  Cookers etc......at times. I have got some pretty nice things like this there at a savings.

 

 

 Trader Joes which I have not found yet...... apparently carries a little  more upscale non neccessities more wanna haves  from what I have read and from friends I have talked to.

I like the Manager at our nearby Aldi , great guy!

Someone has never heard of ALDIS before?  Its a great store and I have shopped there  for years.  One thing I do not think anyone mentioned though is that they only accept CASH, CREDIT CARDS or DEBT CARDS and also the foodstamp cards.  Any way that is how our in this area are set up.  NO CHECKS allowed.  Most of the name brand items are items they get every so often alot is off brand stuff.  But if I use something and I do not like it I just do not buy it anymore.  I love there Pizza Crust kits. 

 

Wow, just wish there was a store in this state! I'm jeleous Alliea, I won't tell you what I just paid for my steaks. Thanks for the information though, great for a lot of you. Hugs~

My mouth is watering right now!!

I wish I would have read this before shopping at Aldi's this morning.  I was thrilled to find they had the Arizona tea raspberry flavor.  I bought two cases.  .69 cents per can, I love the stuff and they don't always have it.  Will look for the filet next time.  It is a great store - I recommend anyone who hasn't tried it to go in with an open mind.  You can really save some serious money there.

I shop there a lot..I was just there yesterday to get more of their..Bacon Wrapped Turkey Mignon (turkey breasts) they are so tender on the grill and they have those pop out things to let you know they are done.. there are 4 in a package and I think they are $5.99

I like the bacon/cheddar hamb patties and DH likes the Jalapeno/Monterey Jack hamb patties..

there is also mushroom and something else I can't remember lol..

Yes DH grilled these and they were delicious. There are instructions on the package to make them with an oven method but I have not tried that.

Thanks Mattie- We will have to try the turkey breasts too.

PS- Our Aldi accepts payment by  cash or debit, but  no Credit cards.
