My recently-graduated daughter knew of plenty of girls who got pregnant in high school (they also have an on-site nursery -- employees can keep their kids there, too, but the schoolgirls have priority). NOT to offend anyone on here who is a young grandmother, and yes, I would much rather life be chosen. But you would be amazed that many girls, not all your not-too-bright ones, either, still believe that they won't get pregnant or that, in doing so, they guarantee their boyfriend will always stay with them.
The other part of that is that we have a county full of children whose grandmothers or great-grandmothers are raising the baby after they get through the dependent, cuddly stage, and it's a miracle if the teenage mom (who is NOT freed up like the daddy) finishes school or gets past a GED.
Although it's a lesson to get the "true-to-life" practice baby they have to take care of, they'd be better off being put in charge of a 2 year-old or a 4 year-old child. That might make them think twice before either having sex or having it unprotected!
