Bluelady91:
but if obama set up this website how do you know he isnt lieing to cover up?
Okay -- 2 posts = Bluelady91 -- I'll see your allegation, and raise you... how do you know the Republican smear machine is telling you the truth? Afterall, they have the most to gain by deceiving the voters, right?
Mind you now, the same Republican tactics being used against Obama today, were used so successfully by Bush to smear Gore, and even McClellan AND McCain -- two decorated and injured war heroes back in 2000... and they were members of his own party! The lies were reformulated and repeated to cast doubts on Kerry with the swiftboat attacks of 2004. Get my drift?
The groups that send out these 'informative' emails are they same ones that target minority voters, telling them they can't vote, or they have to vote on a different day. Or gays are going to invade their churches and we're all going to be wearing burkas... did I miss anythin?g
Pay close attention to the emails you get. They contain no references where you can validate their outrageous claims, no proof, no facts -- not that the typical Republican voter is likely to do any cross checking -- but then the rightwing groups that have targeted you as a gullible patsy, count on that statistic holding true to form when they make their ridiculous statements. Read those emails carefully; note the carefully worded phrases that often end in a question mark... does that serve its purpose to plant a little seed of doubt in your mind? Next, identify the innuendos, the speculation and the cleverly pharsed personal opinions... now what remains?
If you find Obama's statements wanting, and remain unconvinced after viewing the visual evidence he provides to stop the rumor mill, then use Google to assuage your skepticism. Seek your truth from any of the hundreds of news articles which have appeared in every major print and broadcast media outlet -- with the possible exception of Fox -- in the country, all of them saying the same thing as Obama.
