? best way to store pwd milk

    ? best way to store pwd milk

    I just bought a new box of pwd milk, not cheap anymore.  Is there any better way to store it than in the cupboard?  I don't go through it very fast, mainly use in baking.  How long does it last or stay fresh once opened?

    I transfer the contents of the box into a Tupperware and have kept it a year or two. I don't use it very fast either.

    You can also store it in glass jars with a plastic lid on it. Like a manoyaise jar.

    I keep mine in the freezer.  Will keep frozen almost indefinitely.

    Hi all - Great idea with the freezer. I store mine in a tupper ware container that after filling I put a layer of the self stick saran wrap on before I put the lid on. I can reseal the wrap every time. Also, to help keep bugs out of my pantry, I place dried bay leaves on the shelves and on the containers. It's helped thus far.

    I use lock and lock to store mine in and put the rest in the freezer. And the same with sugar and flour.
