Attention LOVE 2cook

One of our members in Cooking Seniors is having trouble posting.  She is logged on according to her Welcome page, but when she hits the reply button, she gets the message Temporary Problem please hit your back button to go back to the previous page.  This has been going on for weeks and she cannot get anyone at TOH to understand her problem or help her.  ANy suggestions?  I will be happy to relay them to her.

Hi Doreen.  Obviously I'm me and not love2cook, but I just wanted to ask if she tried deleting her cookies?  Someone else was having a similar problem recently and I suggested deleting her cookies and browsing history and she got back on with no trouble.

I have a Recipe swapper who can not even get onto the board.

She has tried everything and none of it is working for her.

She is a long time memeber and would really like to be able to post on the boards again.

 

This is the message she keeps getting.

Hi, Have they told the computer to allow pop-ups at least from this site? You have to go to Tools and then the Pop Up Blocker thing. I think mine is set to Turn On plus I think you can choose to set this one as OK. I don't know if that will help but it might be worth a shot. Sue

If they are using Internet Explorer, you should tell them to download Firefox. (It is free) That should take care of the problem. 

Doreen...does she actually check to see if her reply has posted? I just replied to a post and the same page you are talking about came up....not the first time, either....but the reply still had posted. Ask her if it actually appeared or not. I just ignore it as it always has posted.

Did she just get a new computer? Perhaps she needs to "join" the group again to be able to post. I think I had to when I got a new machine. Hope this works

Are these people able to access the internet yet?  Have they tried updating thier windows?  Also the firefox like whiteflower said?  How about re-installing IE 7?  I had to redownload IE7 over the original IE7.  Apparently when it was installed the first time,  not everything came through properly.   Hope something helps them.  How frustrating it must be.
