Hello, I think I must have missed something... Why are you not out fishing??? do tell....

 Gracie... June 19 I signed all the papers deposited the checks(sold everything) and RETIRED!!!!  I flew back to Seattle at 6am on the 20th!!!! 

 Oh My goodness... What prompted that???

 Gracie... sometimes life throws you a curve ball!! and it all falls into place all at once!!I fished a week my body hurt so bad that I could hardly move, I missed my family way more than normal this year, I missed the King...and I felt a feeling of doom... not the feeling you want on the water... This guy wanted my boat.. and was going to let me fish it this year, but really wanted it now...My tennat really wanted the house..it all fell into place.. both cash sales which made it FAST! and I came home!!! I am sitting on my buns, decompressing...loving all the "summer" things I am getting to do.. like plant flowers and have picnics!! I may lay around all summer but at a point I will look for a little part time job to just keep me busy... it seems like a quick decision but really it wasn't I had been thinking about it all winter*LOL*!!! 

 Well AKFisherGirl good for you... We don't always see the signs layed out for us and when it's time to move on we should... The King is growing at a rate that you don't want to miss so good for you. Glad it all worked out for you and you got a price on the boat and house worth taking... I am wishing you are wonderful summer at home with your family !!!...

 Blue.... thank you!  I still am doubting my decisions but I will for a while..it is really wierd to not be on the water.. it is summer after all!! I really have NO regrets...it is so nice to be home with the kids.. the King.. my dad..I was happy when I was able to say I had fished10 yrs, 20 yrs, 30 yrs, but I made it 33...I think I was hobbling so bad with the knees.. and looking at these guys up there who had fished thier entire lives you look at them and figure they are 80+ and they were in their 50's or early 60's...it was time!!  Not often in life that everything lines up perfectly... it did for me this time!

Why don't you look into doing fishing charters or something from Washington.  Then you could fish for fun!

Sue... bite your tongue!!!*LOL* there never has or will there ever be any love loss between commercial and charter fishermen!! mostly wars!!! Commercials say Charters "rape" the industry.. charters say Commercials "rape" the industry.... I think the only fishing I am going to be doing is from the river bank or the lake shore... maybe get a little row boat and fish in the middle of the lake*LOL*  I could make a call right now and have a job working crab in Washington but I don't wanna!!  I keep thinking maybe I would like to work at a local kitchen store or book sotre .just part time...now it is time to find a fun job! and to me both of those things just sound fun!!!!

LOL I bite my tongue so dang much now I can hardly talk!

A kitchen store would be GREAT fun (but I'd end up spending my paycheck there).
