Good morning.  Even got to sleep in about 15-20 min today.   LOL  Been out to get berries and other produce and watering.  Calling for rain off and on all weekend but i'll believe it when I see it.  Want to mulch around soem trees out by the field and water other gardens.  Also will make croc pickles today.   Have enough cucs to try.  Hve to buy dill yet tho.  Having London Broil for dinner with ?.  Maybe we'll head to local farmer and see if he has corn.  Also cuc salad but not sure what else and still not sure if friends are joining us but thag's fine.

Marige, sounds like you had a good cook out at church.  Have fun today and maybe you can get some rest early or if you don't will sleep better tonight.  Nice of you to place with DS's GK.

Hope you all have a great day and if you are doing anything it goes well

Morning everybody. Had a dry t-storm last night I think. Lots of lightening, but I don't think any rain. Common for monsoon season here. Slept so-so. Did dream some about the hospital, but it was weird stuff, not really like working. They were trying to have a yard sale or something

Margie, sorry you didn't sleep well. Jill, glad you did sleep well.

Glad you had fun with great niece

THanks for the input on the PICC.

Hi, Cherie. I will just barely get home tonight and then have to go to sleep also to be able to get to post office in the mornign, but am off Sunday, so can sleep in a bit then I think.

Waving hi to everybody. Wendy, was good to see you posting.

Hi to Patti, Lisa, Deb, Cherie, SHerryH, Sheri, Kim Jolene, Belle, Jan,Denise, Britt, Joanne, Lydia, Faith, Julie, Sheila, Kathleen, Ceeare, Ginny, Lorilou and anybody else I might have accidentally forgotten.

Working at hospital today also. Preceptor called in sick again and so I will be with Teresa and she also has the extern, but hopefully things will go smoother as we shouldn't have admits...and maybe I can learn the med reconciliation...and maybe I can get with Bobbi for a few minutes and learn the fim thing (I don't understand that...it has something to do with MEdicare reimbursement and I am supposed to be charting on it, but don't understand it well enough to be charting on it.

Good Morning ladies, and Happy 4th of July! Hope it's a safe and happy holiday for everyone! Not too much going on yet. it was nice to sleep in a little, but dh got up before me. Just enjoying a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin. DH is hoping to look at the treadmill before we leave for our day trip today.

Last night we went to BJ's. We needed a few things and wanted to check out treadmillls in case we need to buy a new one, but they had none in stock. I've never seen BJ's so busy. There were lines everywhere, and it was already close to nine o' clock when we left. Those employees didn't get out on time last night, thats for sure.

After we got home it started to rain, and boy did it! It was still cloudy when I got up, but the sun is trying to peek through. Looks like it's going to be a half way decent day!

Thats all for  now. Have a great day. Happy 4th!

    Denise

Re: June Cleaver Club Friday 7/4/08 Happy 4th Of July Everyone

Happy 4th of July!!  It is a bit cool this morning, needed to throw on a flannel shirt to do chores.  It is suppose to warm up next week.  I went into the city last night to get groceries, I got stuck in traffic twice due to accidents, both had happened just before I got there.  One was basically just a fender bender, but the other one, some idiot in a truck ran a red light, hit a motorcycle & killed the guy.  I had also stopped at walmart, and there were 4 police cars parked up on the curb in front of the store.  Two shoplifters were in the back seat of one car & the police had another one  in handcuffs in the store.  If I ever have to go back into the city again it will be too soon.  But at least I got most of the months groceries and will only have to run to our little town for milk & such.

Our setting hen is still on her nest in our little hayshed.  The one that was sharing with her, got killed near the chicken coop.  She must have been going to get something to eat, I don't know for sure.  We take a chance of losing some hens with them being free range, but we feel they are happier being able to go where they want.  Plus when the garden is more established we let them go in there & they take care of some of the bugs that are bad for the garden.  We do close them in at night, because that is when most of the preditors are lurking around.  Also, being free range, in the summer they go through hardly any feed, they find there own.

Margie, glad you had a good time at the cookout & at your ds.

Patti, I've been getting lettuce, onions & strawberries so far.  My peppers are blossoming & a few of my tomatoes have babies on them.  We got the rest of the garden in so late that it will be awhile before I get anything else.  I need to get out & dust the broccoli, cabbage & brussels sprouts today.  I also want to get beets planted.  Can't make it through a winter without pickled beets.  Sure hope it warms up like they are saying it will.  I'm not crazy about hot weather, but my garden is.

    Lisa, how is dd's shiner?

Deb, I can imagine how you must have felt seeing dh with his thumb wrapped up.  We cut a lot of our own wood.  It doesn't take much for a log to slip.  We have a widow maker right now that dh wants to get down, but I told him to just leave it till my db can bring his cherry picker over or a storm takes care of it.  I had a cousin who was killed by a widow maker, don't need the same thing happening to dh.

Cherie, I hope all 7 eggs will hatch, but it is unlikely that they all will.  I just hope we get more hens than roosters.  Sorry Andy was giving you grief, aren't teenagers just "wonderful" at times?

Jill, would you share your crock pickle recipe with me?  My mom use to make them, but I don't know where her recipe ended up.  I am hoping to try my hand a pickle making this year.  It'll depend on how well my cukes & dill grow.

We are going to work in the yard & garden today.   Hopefully we will get some wood cut & split too.  So much to do, so little time.  Tonight we will go see fireworks.

Waving hello to everyone, enjoy your day.  Becky

Happy Friday, the 4th of July!!!!

Good Morning to all my wonderful June friends!

Wishing all of you a great day on our nations day!  Happy Birthday America!

The sun is shining, it's only 59º now, but suppose to be a glorious 79º. Beautiful!

I got the Frog Eye Salad made yesterday.  I have the cream cheese softening on the counter to make the 4th of July Pie.  I will also sautee some portabellos to go with the steaks.

Nothing really else planned, just whatever around the house I guess.

Last night Royce put a combo door on the patio door.  We decided against spending the $$ for a whole new patio door and opted for the nice set he pulled out of a clinic a month ago that he brought home.  It really isn't bad, has beveled glass in it.  It will do the job for now.  We will wait for the economy to stablize before we get the new one.  Now he just needs to find a front storm door yet before winter and we'll be set good enough.  New would be nice, but not always feasible (sp?).

Margie  -  sounds like you guys had a nice day yesterday.  I think I hear a nap in your near future.  Take it easy and relax and enjoy the day.

Cheri - Hope you have a nice day at work.  Hope Andy gets out of his funk and has a little fun.

Jill -   MMmmm... fresh cukes!  Can't wait!  It'll be another month at least for me.  Have a great day!

Lisa - Happy Birthday to DH!  Enjoy the day!

I better go jump in the shower and get my day started.

Good Morning june friends & Happy 4th of July.......

Dh and I both slept in this morning and just got breakfast over with and I have already talked with my mom on the phone for a few minutes. This morning I have some tidying up to do and I want to do a load of laundry as well. Then early afternoon we are going to my mom's house for a small BBQ (We will have that under her carport.) DH, mom and I may go to a Flea Market to looka round...not sure yet.

It has rained some already here this AM -- Looks like we will see off and on showers and maybe a few thunderstorms today as well. Temp around 80*.   Yesterday evening we got a few off and on showers.

Yesterday while Dh and I was in Walmart -- That place was crowded....so didn't look around too much. LOL....

Becky~ Sorry about your cousin. It did scare me for a few minutes when I saw my Dh's finger wrapped up in his shirt. LOL...

***Waving* hello to all of the june ladies~~ Have a great day.  Deb

Just popping back in for a minute. YAH!! The treadmill is fixed!!! Some wires became loose in the control panel, and luckily dh was able to fix it. he's on the treadmill now, then it's my turn! Looks like we're getting away on our day trip later than expected. No rush we'll get there soon enough!! I'm so happy dh was able to fix the treadmill, since we're in  no position to buy a new one!

HELLO again to everyone, and those I missed before. have a great day!

    Good Morning All!!

  • HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!
  • We are to be fairly nice weatherwise.  Slight chance of some rain, but only partly cloudy with lots of sun breaks.  Still no definite plans.  We will be going to the on post celebration at some point.  Still not sure what I'm making to eat either.  Not in the mood for the normal cookout stuff, but with the huge cookout we're going to tomorrow don't really know what to do today.  Maybe DH will give me an idea.  I'll do some housework, but really plan on just being lazy.  Yesterday I had allot of pain from 1 to 3.  Not sure what part of lunch (ham and cheese sanwhich, cantalope, cheetos, and water) caused it, but will be even more careful today.

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th.  Stay safe if you will be driving anywhere tonight.

    Kim

and good morning (barely) to everyone!

Beautiful here, sunny and supposed to be that way all day with a high in the mid 70's.
Had a late breakfast of biscuits & gravy which Don requested, bacon (for Danielle) and melon, which was not very flavorful.
Going out to do some trimming & pulling weeds. Also need to make a couple things for tomorrow's meals at the lake. I invited my mom for supper tonight; we're having bombdiggity chicken, corn on the cob, watermelon and homemade maple ice cream.
