    Smile [:)] Question about Tylox..

My husband just had to have a kidney stone lasered and they gave him Tylox (acutally the generic brand Oxycodone) for pain He sweats profusely while taking it. It is one of the lessor side effects. Have any of you experienced this if you've ever taken the drug ? He takes many medications due to a heart attack and stroke several years ago. Every now and then he sweats really bad at night. Thanks in advance

Duh ? Jadas mom. Nice reply. I am not IGNORANT as your reply was !!!!  I already have my answers from the doctor & the pharamcist ! I was merely asking others for their reactions. Keep your sarcastic remarks for someone else or don't post them. That was rude.

Duh, Jadas...You could have asked, "have you called a doctor or a pharmacist" instead of a sarcastic remark. This bulletin board is for people to seek others opinions. Not for nastiness. I hope you have a better day today.

I have taken this drug before, I don't remember it making me sweat, but I know that intense pain can do that. Is he in much pain? Make sure he drinks lots of water with this meds. Hope this helps at least a little.

I was given a new medication for pain, and I took one as soon as I got it.  Two hours later, I was sweating a lot.  Now, I eat something when I take it, and it doesn't do that.   Unless it HAS to be taken on an empty stomach, have him try eating something with it and see if it helps.
