Lets Get To Know Each Other Better

Hello Ladies,

I would very much like to get to know the ladies in this group. I have just purhased a computer head set, so that I can talk to other members who are on yahoo for free.   This is not spam, please don't think that it is.

I am at home most everyday by myself and I get really lonely for new friends, all across the country.

I am also a avid pen paler, mystery reader, and chatter box,,,LOL.

I got my computer headset at Walmart for about $17.00. and it works really well, Of course there are more expensive ones, but this one is fine.

I hope there will be alot of positive replies to this, as I really am am a stay at home mom and grandmother and would love to talk about most anything. Maybe we can even become pen pal friends too,,, wouldn't that be great?

Why are you soliciting all over this board for your own yahoo groups that you host? One would think you already have enough friends. You must do a lot of forwarding.

No men allowed in your groups??? We LIKE the few nice men who are on here (with one TROLL exception).

Doen't look like you have much success here.

Oh Please don't misunderstand, yes I do host several yahoo groups for cooking, reading, pen paling and other things.

I am 48 years old, and am disabled with degenerative joint disease, plus my mother just passed away on June 6th of this year. I spent all week with her, and only came home on the weekends to see my husband, kids and grandaughter.

I mean no harm what so ever, and I am not trying to solicit my yahoo groups on this forum. But now I find myself with alot of lonely time on my hands, and I thought I would introduce myself to the members of this group in hopes of making new friends.

Everyone seems to be so friendly and caring here, and I wanted to invite you to come and share the friendship of my yahoo group with you.

Please, Please forgive me if it seemed that I was trying to solicit here, Really I am not, I am just a lonely housewife who finds that I have more time on my hands now that my mother has passed away, and was inviting anyone interested here to join our pen pal group and be friends with us.

I truely meant no harm,, and If you want me to leave this forum, Just say so.. But I was only trying to be friendly, that's all.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for anyone that I insulted or made angry, No harm intended... I would just love to be friends with you, and maybe pen pal and share recipes.

No offense, but posting this to every board every few days is spamming the board.    If you'd like to make friends here, pick a category, post a recipe, join a conversation, get to know people!    At the very least, don't keep starting these posts, just go back and bump up (reply to the ones you've already started).    


Lots of people are going to be leery about a brand new poster coming to the board wanting to talk off board, exchange addresses, etc.   I think I was here for about 6 or 7 months before I even gave out a throw away email.
