    ****PRAYER CIRCLE SAT. JULY 5,2008****

A few friendly reminders from the Word of God...

Psa 100:3  Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

    1) Know that the LORD Himself is God...He is God. We are not. We are not to play God or exalt ourselves above Him.

    2) It is He who made us, and not we ourselves....He is the Creator. We are the created. He made us, we didn't make Him. He is Who He is and we are not to make Him into something we are more comfortable with.

    3) We are His people and the sheep of His pasture...He leads us, we don't lead Him. We are not to try to lead Him.  Ever been called "sheeple"? Sheep are stupid animals. The fact is, we're all stupid sheep whether we follow the Good Shepherd or not.  We are either the sheep of His pasture or some other pasture. The other pasture is not led by the Good Shepherd. The sheep in that pasture are still being led. Astray.

Lord, forgive us for our arrogance of trying to change the dynamics of our relationship with You. You are God, our Creator, our Good Shepherd. Help us to remember our standing before you, and to humble ourselves before you and exhalt you as God. Amen.

Off to watch a movie with John. Could someone post the link to yesterday's PC?

Remember to pray for our pastors and others ministering in our churches this week-end, that they will boldly proclaim the authority of God's word without apology; that we will come with hearts prepared and ears to hear; that there will be everlasting and life-changing fruit; and above all, that God will be glorified.

    Good night!

Hi Deb, I am one of those stupid sheep that the Lord keeps trying to keep in order, but I seem to stray once in a while.   Thank you for doing the PC tonight it really spoke to me heart.

Praying for Ann & for ever who else who needs the touch of the Lord.

Ken & I both feel kind of sickish today, maybe a good nights rest will help!  And, of course the hands are hurting a lot.

God's blessings & mercy be with you all!                  Patty

Patty, praying you both feel better tomorrow after a good night's sleep, and praying for your hands.

John and I just watched an Israeli film called "Ushpizin". It's about some ultra orthodox Jews and their relationship with God. It takes place at the time of the festival of booths. It was a good story. It had subtitles.

Good morning friends.  I never got to stop in for my daily visit yesterday.  Prayed for you all though as I snuggled in my bed last night.

Deb- Thank you for your message today.  Can I ask where you get your moveis?  You always have such interested titles to share, and I'm curious about how you discover them and where you rent them?  Of course, I don't live in such a metropolitan area as you do, but . . .

Patty- I pray that you had a good night's rest and that you are feeling better this morning.  I loved your phrase "stupid sheep".  Boy, does that sum me up sometimes!  Just a stupid sheep!  Sometimes a very stubborn sheep too.

Praying for each of you today.  I heard an interesting thing on the radio yesterday.  I think I was listening to Pete Briscoe (not sure of spelling) and he challenged everyone to pray for pastors and church staff every time you drive by a church.  To just be in prayer for the people attending there and that their leaders would feed them with the word of God and provide for their spiritual needs.  I thought it was a great suggestions and will try to do it in the future.

    Good morning dear ones.

I like the lesson Deb,  short and simple....I can understand that.

Not chatty yet,  off to take a walk with Gaby and see if that will get the cobwebs out of my head.  Will be praying for each of you.

Good morning! I'm not real chatty yet either.

Evan, the lobster man, is safely home. Please pray for him and a decision he is facing.

Connie, is that Briscoe guy any relation to Stuart and Jill Briscoe? That's a wonderful suggestion.

As far as movies, we get a lot from Netflix, we can download free movies from them too. But many of them come from John's obsession with movies. It's really worrying to me actually. He will sometimes go to the video store and look thru bins and bins and bins of old dvds on sale(sometimes spending hours there), and bring stacks of them home. I mean, he brings stuff none of us have ever heard of. So, every now and then we find a gem, but most go right in the garbage. Movies are how he unwinds after overworking, but he over does on it.

Randy, hope those cobwebs are all cleared up.

    hey deb,

I had a thought. (as a matter of fact it did hurt Stick out tongue )    Brian and I check-out movies from the local library. Both VHS and DVD's. They are always looking for donations.  You know I bet you could donate the movies you don't want to the library and write some of the cost off on your taxes under charitible donations...

    Smile

HI All!  We had a good4th of July celebration.  HOpe you did as well.

Praying for Ann, for healing peace and calm.

Praying for Evan and his decision.

Praying that God will bring balance to all our lives.  Life is so interesting, but I know I can focus too  much in one area, when I could be enlarging another area of life.  It is hard when it comes to unwinding, though, because many things are not relaxing.

God bless each of you today!!
