NEED SOME HELP,PLEASE

My GD was  over yesterday and was eating a piece of buttered toast, and accidently dropped it on my (just delivered) light beige recliner. Of course it landed butter size down, and left a spot about the size of a golf ball on the leg rest. I blotted it up immediately,but it did leave a spot. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I had the same thing happen with my GD two weeks ago. I used avon bubble bath in some warm water to clean my chair. i dabbed it, and the spot disappeared!!  it was peanut butter, but very greasy. we now have our snacks in the kitchen!! lol    good luck!

My suggestion is to apply a good layer of cornstarch by pushing it into the stain and let that sit for quite awhile, even over night.  It should soak it up.  I have done this when I have gotten a spot of oil, grease on a good blouse. 

My son has a very oily based skin cream, and Tide doesn't get it out, but Dreft detergent does, maybe you could give that a try.    Bumping for more help for you Mary Lee.
