Thanks Mom! We think she's pretty special.
With three older brothers and nothing but male cousins she's kind of a little princess. LOL They certainly look after her. I pity the first boy that breaks her heart...if they even let her date! LOL
saw whet ~ We are fortunate that we are a short distance from lots of historical places. Patrick Henry's last home, the Appomattox civil war battle grounds, Richmond, Monticello (sp), and so many others. It's a great way to teach "living" history to the kids.
Speaking of family history, we traced DH's family history back to 1690. He has direct ancestors that served in the revolutionary war and the civil war on his fathers side. He is a "kin of kin" of Pocahontas. I forget how it goes but I believe his mother's direct ancestor was the sibling of the man that married the daughter of Pocahontas. I have to go back and look, I may have it backwards but I know that there was a marriage to the child of pocahontas and he's related to the sibling. LOL Confusing the way I explain it, huh? LOL
