Our power just came on after 5 LONG hours!!

We had a storm roll through today and we lost power for 5 hours.  Gosh that seems like an eternity at the time!  LOL!   Unfortunately when you live far out you are not high on the priority list of the power company.  But at least it's back on now. 

Wish I could have loaned you our generator.  Glad you are back online now.

We have a generator!   But dh has to get some kind of switch before he can hook it up again since last time it fried a few things.

Yes, it was kinda scary!  He had hooked it up  twice before with no problem, so not sure what happened that time.  It was during the mother's day storms we had here in GA.  Bad stuff!  We lost power all day that day.  Seems like it happens a lot out here.  Not fun!

Last month we lost ours for 12 hours. It was a loooong 12 hours!

Wow!  I'm glad you and yours are OK - did you get much rain out of it?  It went right below us -  we heard the thunder but got very little rain.  Are you on EMC or GA Power?  We are on CGEMC and have been lucky.

My #2 DS used to work for Pike Electric contracted to CGEMC and he worked a lot of storm calls.  He made lots of money but hated having to leave on a moment's notice and be gone for many hours or sometimes days away from home.

Glad you're back to normal!!  Sometimes I think it'll be relaxing to have the power out for a bit - but then I realize that the things I want to do in my "down time" I need electricity for!

Jane, I think we got 3 or more inches!  My yard was flooded and my sister who lives on the next road said her road was completely covered.

We are on Flint EMC.

That rain missed us too Jane. Sorry you lost your power Peachy, but glad you got some rain.
