Attn: Saturday "Night Owls".....

It's hard to believe that our first major summer holiday is behind us!  I have a feeling the summer is going to fly by!!!

Didn't do much today.....I had to attend a funeral this morning.  DD and I went out to lunch and she went with a friend to get a pedicure.  I did some grocery shopping and just ordered a pizza for dinner!  It was a lazy summer day!!  How was your day??

Hey Kim!  How's it going?  I agree, summer is flying by! 

I haven't been on-line for some time.  DH is home and prior to that we, our church and family, worked the Lacombe Crab Festival.  It is our HUGE fundraiser for the year.  We (DD and myself) worked Saturday 9:30 AM - 11:30 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM - 9:30 PM.  That made for a long weekend and it took me several days to get caught up on my rest, then it was time for DH to come home, then July 4th.  Ugh, I'm tired just talkin' about it.

How was the graduation party?  I hope your DD and her friends enjoyed it.  You worked so hard.  I hope it wasn't too down with the death of their classmate.

I haven't heard about the new job yet.  The lady doing the hiring is on vacation.  It's killing me having to wait.

Hi Kim, Hi Rochelle!  I've been wondering about the job!  It is so hard to wait.  Been there, done that, glad I don't have to do it anymore!  I guess Beth won't be checking in tonight--she's playing Kenny Rogers tonight (On the Road Again!).  I sing that every time we get in the car!

We spent the day losing $$ at the casino!  Oh well, Gary had a good time.  Truth be told, so did I, but I don't like to lose $$!  I have mini-pizzas in the oven for them right now, and petite quiche in for myself--that is our later dinner.  

Tomorrow we will head back to Vegas after Mom gets back from church.  I would like to stop at the mall on the way back, but we'll have to see how Gary is feeling.

I had a lazy day today myself!  We got another shower today.  Oh my will that help my garden!  Tomorrow after Church I'm going to start cleaning my house!  Just in case Beth has time to spend the night!    I haven't been upstairs in a while.  all I should have to do there is dust, vacumn and put clean sheets on the bed.  I don't know why but the den is the room I dread cleaning! 

 Hi Rochell - so glad to see you here this evening.  Sounds as though you've been very busy!  Hope that the fundraiser went well.....they're always so much work but worth every minute of it.......there's always a good cause behind all that effort!

The graduation party went beautifully!!!  Everyone really enjoyed it.  The funeral services for Josh were on Saturday morning and our party was in the afternoon.  It was a hard day for the kids.....but under the circumstances....once they arrived at our home.....I think it was a relief to be able to relax.  

Waiting to hear about something is excruciating.....isn't it???  I hope you hear something about the job soon.......keep us posted.

Hi Bonnie you snook in on me!!!!  Hope you all had fun today!

 Yes, Paula, it is always good to get a day out that isn't spent at the  cancer center or at the hospital!  We know next week will be full, since Gary is back on the big $$$ drug all week, so we won't be going anywhere--at least he won't--other than the cancer center or hospital.

I don't know how he continues to do it!  Says alot about him and his determination

 We always say that the cancer is nothing--it is putting up with me that is the really hard part!

girl don't say that you and he both know he is one lucky guy to have you in his corner!

 I don't know about that, Paula, but everyone else says so!  I guess I was just born to be a caregiver, and it makes me happy to be able to do it, so I get something out of the deal, too!  Besides, he's a pretty good guy!  Someday we'll have our first fight, but I don't know when!  It's only been 36 years (come August 19!)

I keep forgeting you married young!  you are a year older than me and been married seven years longer than us!  We will have 29 years on August 31

excuse me I meant to say you are a year younger than me!  sorry!

 I don't know how you gals remember all those details!  Maybe it is because my brain is so full of medicine names, doctors, procedures, etc.!  I'm lucky I remember to open my eyes in the morning!  LOL

I just remembered because you were a year younger than me!
