     i haven't had a cold in years. usually, at the 1st sneeze, i start with the vitamin c.  well i sneezed and ignored it.  pharmacist said the only thing i could take, because of the meds i'm on , is claratin.........looks like it finally started to work.

    i wood not wish this on my worst enemy!!!  i will not ignore a sneeze again!!!lol

    If it is a cold, claritin probably won't help. Never mind, they say a cold lasts for two weeks without any medicine and fourteen days if you take something!!!! Go ahead and take the Vit. C, it won't hurt anything.

    Summer colds are the worst! I hope you feel better, soon.

    I hope you get well soon, ct!! Zinc lozenges are supposed to shorten the length of a cold. I suggest the cherry flavor. The others leave a metallic taste in your mouth.
