ISO appetizer for mini crock pot

    Hi All

I am in need of a good recipe for the old mini crock pot.  Any help would be great.  We are due for a heat wave and I don't want to heat up the oven.  thanks

I know what you mean about not wanting to turn on the oven~  Fondues work very well in  crockpot and if you have an outside grill, Kababs are very nice and easy to do ~ Little chicken strips wrapped in bacon are done in a flash~  I marinade them in hot sauce prior to grilling. There are also many kinds of chilled Tortelloni recipes that use salad dressings as marinades and are served chilled.  Stuffed cherry tomatoes with cheese or Bousion cheese is also very nice~  Janie~

This one is really good and easy.  Brown a pound of sausage and drain.  Stir in one 8 oz. package of cream cheese (softened) and a can of Rotel (drained).  Serve with chips - yum!  I've made this for parties before and kept it in my mini-crock - it just fits in it.

I bumped a couple of crockette threads for you, I hope you can find something you like in those. Karen
