Attn: Sunday "Night Owls"....

 Today was another lazy summer day!  We had bbq bread and cheesesteak bread for dinner.....boiled some corn on the cob and called it dinner!!  It was delicious!!  Everyone was pretty much in different directions today......DH went fishing with my nephew, DS spent the day cleaning his car and DD worked most of the day.  

I still haven't gotten the chance to enjoy the backyard pool!  I'm taking my nephew to see Wall-E on Friday so maybe we'll take a dip after that.  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!  

Kim, don't feel bad--we didn't get to use the pool this weekend either!  One of these days!  We are back in Vegas now, and I'll be checking out relatively early tonight, as we have to be at the cancer center at 9 in the morning, which means leaving here at 8, and me being up between 5 & 6. 

We're watching Man on Fire with Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning--I love both of them.  I've seen this movie several times and read the book, but it is still good.

Gosh, where the heck is everybody?

 I know....sometimes this place is like a ghost town!!  LOL

I wonder how Beth is doing on her trip by now.  I hope Chelle gets her computer fixed soon. 

I ate so much at dinner--Mom treated us at Perkins.  She just had potato pancakes, which she loves, Gary had Tilapia, and I had salmon (I'm still burping it up!).  Then I was still hungry so i had a sundae while they finished their dinners!  I'm such a pig!

Oink Oink--can I still be an owl if I oink instead of hoot???

 Bonnie - there are no stipulations on the noise our "owls" make!!  So go ahead and oink if you like!!

Gosh, I haven't been to a Perkins in years........there was one years ago down the shore but it closed a while back.  I'm not sure if there are any existing in this area.  We do have Friendly's and IHOP.....but no Perkins.  

Next weekend we'll be taking my mom and MIL out for lunch to celebrate my MIL's b-day which was actually last week.....the 28th the day of Kayla's grad party.  Not sure yet where we'll be going.  

Oh, Kim--I would KILL For a Friendly's!  They have my all time FAVORITE ice cream sundae, and they are one of the few places that has it--marshmallow!  Dairy Queen has them too, but I like Friendly's better.  At DQ I like the dip cones.

 The ice cream where DD works is wonderful!  It's all homemade and the flavors are unique! 

How about Cold Stone??  Any in your area???  That's a great place too!!  Actually, I haven't found an ice cream parlor I didn't like!!  LOL!!  

 I just noticed over in the right hand column.....that nonsense over in KC is still going on!  I can't believe that they can beat a dead horse for this long!! 

I totally ignore it!  I will respond to a post once in awhile--like the one about people who stop in the middle of an aisle and block it and are totally oblivious to folks around them!

 Haha!  I was just reading that one!  I guess there are rude people in grocery stores all over the country!!  

 Anyway......do you have a Cold Stone in your area?  I love their ice cream.  But DD won't allow us to enter the doors of "the competition" so I'm limited to the flavors her store has. LOL!!!!

You forget, Kim, it is now YOUR store, too!  There was a Cold Stone by our old house in PA, but we never went there.  I'm funny when it comes to ice cream.  I only eat vanilla--once in a great while a little chocolate, and I like CHEAP ice cream!  Sealtest was my favorite.  I don't care for breyers, as it is too....I don't know what...just too!  I'm just a cheap date!!!  LOL
