Morning. It LOOKS nice out but I know it is H & H so it's not my kind of day. But it's still better than a cloudy one.

Luvadah maybe you want to stay away from the coffee for the rest of the day. But, your breakfast looks so good.

Better go and start my walk. Not going very fast or very long yet but it's a start. Plus Albert always gets his treats before I start and when I'm done so he doesn't care how long I walk.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Orange Rss Robot Breakfast looks great and ya' can never drink to much coffee.

Humidity cooled wind has the trees swaying and looming thunderclouds has given us a bluish cast to the morning. Critters are fed and grand-kids will be here shortly.

Tadpole, house dog, needs a good brushing. Dancer, outside dog, needs it as well. He is harder to do as he jumps in n' out of the water and then romps about in the dirt. (Pomeranians)

72° with 69% humidity and a muggy high of 88°.

Good morning!  Thunderstorms for the next two days...at least we had a beautiful weekend!

Hi Red, how are you coming on the digging?  What a job!  Remember, a nice hot bath works wonders on sore muscles...oh, wait, you don't have hot water.  Talk about adding insult to injury!  Hope they can get that leak taken care of pronto!

Hi Alby,  I'd join you in a walk if you wouldn't mind my bringing Rudy.  He's already bugging me about going...relentless!

Luvadash, have a nice time shopping...and thanks for breakfast!

Hi Debbie...join in anytime!  Very cool collage and so apropos for Independence Day!  We've tried to get Rudy to wear a bandana...lol... a way for him to make a fashion statement, but he prefers the fun of getting it off and chewing it up!

Just thought I's share a pic of my two in a cute moment.  Napping together!

    See everyone later!

Hey everybody!  Remember me?  LOL!  It feels like ages since I've been here.  I read all the old posts just now.

AF how's the pup's tail? Is she doing better?  Glad to hear you've festivities went well.  I knew your niece's name wasn't buddy and the band didn't roast the pig!

Red, how's the digging going?  We had a similar problem when our electric line fell down.  They supplied the wire but we had to do the digging or buy a new pole that had to be set up by a licensed electrician.

BD, AWWW!  that's sweet that your critters nap together.  I hope Rudy didn't feel the after effects from his tranquilizer.  Cool pix from the other day.  That poor paca was probably embarassed having a haircut like that.

mc, how's the smoke and fire situation going?  Yup that little beauty looks like a Molly.  what a sweet face!

Gkids, Happy belated birthday!  I hope it was a good one.

Kozy, my critters are always under foot.  Scrappy is the worst one.  I almost fell over her the other day.

Alby, I hope you had a nice walk.  Did dh catch any fish the other day?

Hi debbie, cool email.  Stop back by when you can!

I guess I won't be having dgd at least for awhile.  dh's dd moved back in with her mom and dgd is back with dh's dd.  dd still isn't speaking to dh.  The other dd and her husband came to the reunion.

Our family reunion was nice.  We had 47 people here and I had enough food to feed at least 100!  I sent leftovers home with people and still had enough leftovers to share with my mom!  Dh was worried about having his cousin's family stay with us.  He had only seen his cousin exactly 3 times and hadn't spent more than a couple of hours with him!  But it all worked out very well.  He has two dds-one 13 and the other 3.  We were told the 3 y/o was very shy but you could have fooled us!  Dh's cousin said it usually takes a couple of hours for her to warm up to strangers but within 10 minutes she was playing with me and asking a ton of questions as only 3 y/o's can. LOL!  It was cloudy and rainy the entire week end but the rain held out for the reunion.  The kids loved going to the old time store and getting candy and bottled sodas.  They probably drank about 50 bottles of soda!  The pool got a workout from all the kids in there.  I'm still cleaning up and putting things to order.  I didn't do too much yesterday.  I actually took a nap yesterday afternoon.  dh's cousin's wife was great!  She pitched right in and helped without being asked.  the girls all helped me make banana pudding!  I think everyone had a nice time.  they are planning on coming back up next month and we're going to try to go down to see them.

    Good morning CC'ers!

It's a cloudy day here today.  I can't complain because the weekend was absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks for breakfast luvadash.  Enjoy your day out today!

Hi Alby!  Do you walk on a treadmill or outside?

Hi red.  I bet the pom is hard to keep clean!  All that hair, yikes!

Hi Debbie!  Welcome and thanks for posting that collage.  I hope you don't mind, I snagged it!

Aw, BD that is such a sweet picture.

Hi Kozy!  I scored 90% on the test.  It was fun.  I put it in my favorites cuz I see there are other quizzes to take.  Thanks for posting it.

Hi jan!  I was MIA for a couple of days too.  How'd your party go.  We had great weather, thankfully.

I did some reading on the internet about tail injuries.  I'm pretty convinced Libby strained her tail with all the activity on Friday.  It will take a few days to heal.  She has been carrying it slightly higher today.  I'm still going to put a call in to our vet.

Here she is on the Fourth, before all the guests arrived.

Welcome back to everyone!  Hope you all had a nice Holiday weekend.  The dogs made it through fireworks just fine.  We went outside to watch and had the radio station that plays music to go along with the fireworks up real loud.  It was nice to have them Thursday night.  It made the weekend seem even longer...but still not long enough!

     - Farmer Man In Overalls Carrying Two Shovels And Chewing On Straw Or Hay  After all the digging was completed yesterday--DH called a plumber. Could not wait till today. Oh, no, it had to be on a holiday weekend when the price tag is at it's highest. I had un-covered up to the first joint connection. The man came out, cut pipe, tested and determined the leak was at the coupling I had already dug up. Whew! Other wise the whole line would have to be dug up. What is irritating is that I discovered that my Son has a "ditch witch", (I have never used one), which would have saved me a lot of labor. The man could not get the parts we needed for this very old connection on a Sunday.

      - Sweaty Natural Gas Utility Service Man Adjusting A Gas Meter  He made a list of what was needed and sent his associate to complete the job this morning. (His Mom is under going surgery this morning so he could not return himself) The new man has been here putting it all together only to discover the pump and gage for testing had been removed from his work truck. He has gone to get it and will be back soon.

      - Hot Water Heater Repair Man Taking Notes For A Quote  Said he would re-light my water heater when he was finished, but that will not happen as we will have to call the gas company and get them back out here to re-test the line and turn our gas back on. Will get that man to light the water heater for me.

    Re: Critter Chat 7/7/08

Afternoon everyone.  Seems I've not been getting on here in the morning lately and been missing out on all the good breakfasts everyone has been making.  Sigh.....

Hope everyone survived the holiday week-end.  I did but I, for one, am glad to be back to the semi-normal routine once again.   It's hot, humid and somewhat rainy here--off and on type rain--today.    After many phone calls I finally was able to get someone to come out here to finish taking out the bushes in the front of the house, now hope they show up.  Seems everyone wants the work but no one wants to do the work--know what I mean??

Oh Red you sure haven't had a very pleasant week-end.  Hope all is going better now.    And, yes don't those things always happen over a holiday week-end.  We had our old furnace go out on us one year on Easter Sunday and we were scheduled to leave on Monday for our trip so had to pay the extra $$$$ to get the dang thing fixed before we left.   Luckily it wasn't my year to host Easter.

Luva I hope your "coffee" has worn off now.   Enjoy your lunch.

Nice pic of Rudy and Juicy, ahhhh peace and quiet for a few minutes huh BD.  Those fireworks sure can be the pits for our critters.   Angel was never afraid of any noise before but this year there were many more being set off out here by us--it's illegal to own them and set them off but----and Wisc has a new law in effect that they can only sell to Wisc residents so the ILL people can't go up and buy them but judging from all the noise around here they managed to find a way around that law as well.   Angel didn't get hyper or nervous but she just curled up in one of our laps and wouldn't get down as long as there was any noise.  DH had to go outside with her when it was time to go to bed and try to get her to do her "duties" because she wouldn't go out by herself and there were 2 nights of fireworks around here.  All is back to normal now.

Hi Jan I see you survived the week-end.    I hope things work out for your dgd once again so she doesn't have to be moved between families.  So nice that  you & dh's cousin hit it off so well and now maybe you can see each other more often.

AF how is Libby doing, much better I hope.

    Waving to everyone else.
