    I've got a Dell basic photo printer -- their price is around $28 for the black ink.  My parents have always had extra, I've never had to get it! 

     

    I saw some "refurbished" ones but don't know if you just take your chances.  When ordering school printers, those generic ones that are supposed to fit the printers often don't. 

     

    I could check e-bay -- anyone else have a good place to order less expensive Dell cartridges?

    I get mine from eBay.  If you'd like pm me and I'll give you the user name I order off of.  I've never had a problem with them.  They are not name brand and I've never had a problem with them.

    Try this site: 123inkjets.com They have very good prices and guarantee them. My DH ordered a supply for our printer and then the printer died on us. He purchased a new one and contacted 123inkjets and was able to return them and get a refund. louie
