That is an old fashioned juicer from the 40s. It was my husband's grandmother's, then his mom's, then ours. Actually, it just broke. Not so that it's unusable, but a piece cracked--not surprising after half a century of use. It was a very hard call for us. We could have gotten one just like it on ebay, but it didn't look to be in very good condition, so we were concerned that it would be near the end of its days too. So we ordered the modern equivalent, which should arrive next week:

I not only juice all kinds of citrus, I also use the juicer to squeeze out pineapple skins when we get a whole pineapple.
