****Prayer Circle For Wednesday, July 9, 2008****

    Greetings in our Lord!

Today I want to share a different type devotional with you. The devotional itself is from Streams in the Desert by Mrs. Charles Cowman. But I'm adding a pic at the end that I think goes with it. :)

    The Lord's Times

"Thou makest the outgoing of the morning and evening to rejoice" (Ps. 65:8).

Get up early and go to the mountain and watch God make a morning. The dull gray will give way as God pushes the sun towards the horizon, and there will be tints and hues of every shade, that will blend into one perfect light as the full-orbed sun bursts into view. As the King of day moves forth majestically, flooding the earth and every lowly vale, listen to the music of heaven's choir as it sings of the majesty of God and the glory of the morning."

In the holy hush of the early dawn
    I hear a Voice
"I am with you all the day,
    Rejoice! Rejoice!"

The clear, pure light of the morning made me long for the truth in my heart, which alone could make me pure and clear as the morning, tune me up to the concert-pitch of the nature around me. And the wind that blew from the sunrise made me hope in the God who had first breathed into my nostrils the breath of life; that He would at length so fill me with His breath, His mind, His Spirit, that I should think only His thoughts, and live His life, finding therein my own life, only glorified infinitely. What should we poor humans do without our God's nights and mornings? --George MacDonald

    "In the early morning hours,
    'Twixt the night and day,
While from earth the darkness passes
    Silently away;

"Then 'tis sweet to talk with Jesus
    In thy chamber still
For the coming day and duties
    Ask to know His will.

"Then He'll lead the way before you,
    Mountains laying low;
    Making desert places blossom,
    Sweet'ning Marah's flow.

"Would you know this life of triumph,
    Victory all the way?
Then put God in the beginning
    Of each coming day."

    Grannyfay back:

We all seem to be having some rough times so in praying and asking God what He wanted me to share tonight/today, this devotional and the following pic came up.

The pic is a sunrise taken in my backyard and it just shouts "THE GLORY OF GOD!"

Let's look at it and not worship it but worship the Creator of the Sunrise. He is Worthy! And He can make those problems in our lives fade into the background.

Here is the link to Tuesday's PC:

****PRAYER CIRCLE TUES. JULY 8, 2008****

I've read through all the requests--Wow! What an attack on children there has been!  Praying for all the children everywhere!

Also, praying for all other prayer requests!

Miss Ivy, I saw your post and I'm praying for your Dad and Mom and for the family that lost the son!  BTW, welcome to the Prayer Circle!  Please keep us updated on your Dad!

Thanks, Everyone, for your prayers for the funeral today.  Everything went really well.  Hubby's aunt was beautiful dressed in her pink dress. :)  Aw, but I know she's even more beautiful now dressed in her robes of white!  GLORY!

Now, Dear Friends, this "bug" still hangs on.  Still coughing and feeling bad and right now my head feels as if it will explode. :(   But I'm believing that it's going to be better soon.  I'm thinking Hubby's coming down with it now so please pray for him. Thanks!

Gonna run for now!  Keeping you all lifted up in prayer!

    God Bless!

Also, I'm sure you'll remember that just last month (?) DD had to have their Chocolate Lab put down because of a growth in her stomach (as well as other problems).  Well, now there is a problem with their cat and the Vet thinks either she has an infection in one of her lungs or has a growth. One lung is not working right.  DD says they have her on antibiotics to see if that will clear it up.  Please pray that they don't lose another dear family pet this soon!  Grandkitty's name is Shadow.  Thanks!

Also, let's pray for all under severe weather tonight. It's bad in so many places!

I'm going to close out for tonight.  Hugs!

    God Bless! Nite Nite!

Fay, I so want to want to make the Lord my first priority in the morning. What a glorious picture!

Thanks for posting Mari's wonderful pics too. I really enjoyed them.

Praying for Shadow. That was our Zooey's name before we adopted her. She just wasn't a Shadow tho. She is a Zooey. Praying for God's mercy over your DD's family, especially that your GKs will be spared further grief.

Still not quite right. This is NOT fun.

Evan started his new position at the bank today. I don't think he was crazy about it...

Fay - thanks for posting my pics. your sunrise pic makes my sunset picture look anemic! (Thanks for doing the lesson!)

Picture #1 is sunset over the lake while we were camping. Pics 2 & 3 are little amish girls at our reunion in Indiana. They were just sooo cute and posed so prettily! (I know, I know, not supposed to take pics of amish!) Picture #4 is amish "horses and wagon". They were so fun to watch - these boys being the horses and all the little ones on the wagon. And then pic #5 is of my girls - for some of the newcomers, I also have 2 older boys - they don't like their picture taken much. Teenagers! Go figure!

Well, thankfully the storms weren't severe for us. Prayers for those who are still in the line of severe weather and fires.

Prayers for Fay and Deb (and others) affected by this summer stuff. It sounds like what I had awhile ago. Eventually you do start to feel better, but it does take awhile. Just get plenty of rest.

    Hugs and prayers for all.

    -Mari

After reading the devotional and praising God awhile - this song wouldn't leave my mind and heart, and it is my prayer for myself and for each of you.

Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
    I want to see you
    I want to see you

To see You high and lifted up
Shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy

    Holy, holy, holy
    Holy, holy, holy
    Holy, holy, holy
    I want to see you

    I want to see you

I'm back.  Remembered that I forgot to tell you about an email from Holly (Angelcake).  They have moved. They have a bigger house with room for Baby # 2 that should be arriving before long.  I'll let you know when I hear. :)

Deb, praying for you--I know how you're feeling! And I don't know how long it lasts but I've had it WAY longer than I wanted to. ;)  Praying for Evan's job.

Mari,  Honey, your sunset pic goes with the devotional too!  I love the reflection of the sky in the water! :))  And I love your pics of the kids--especially yours! :)

Another prayer request:  well really an update on an old one.  Do y'all remember my asking for prayer for a young boy named "Gunner" who had an inoperable brain tumor?   Well the little guy is still going.  The Drs. said there wasn't any more they could do so his parents took him to another place for help.  And he has shown some improvement.  He's had many treatments and will still have to have more. Pray for healing for him and for finances for both his treatment and lodging for his family.  Thanks!

    Nite! :)

I must be lost in the posts somewhere.  I am getting established in the Diabetic Connection and started out HERE.  I was asking prayer for my youngest daughter and her heart problems.  She sees her cardiologist in a couple of weeks, but says she feels pretty good at the moment.  She is 30 and her name is Angie.  Ladies, please forgive me for getting mixed up.  I hope I am still a member here.  I don't know where to go to find out.

    Thanks,

    Marly

Fay, thanks for your message and photo today and the reminder about the need to praise and pray!

There have been so many serious needs lately.  What a relief that God is so awesome!  I'm praying for ech of you and your requests.

May you all have a blessed day!

Good morning! Praying for all the needs.

MarlyDarly, the Prayer Circle is open to any and everyone. We don't have membership here, but we do become family. Praying for your daughter.

I talked to Tessa this morning. The little boy who died had a swimming lesson that morning and apparently ingested some water into his lungs. So I guess it's a drowning, but a few hours after the fact. So sad. Tessa said the Dad got the call that he had died as he was boarding the plane.

I was feeling better this morning, then I wasn't, and now I am again. I guess I should lay low again today.  Have a good day. Deb

    Good morning & greetings!

Just wanted to let you know that I've been reading the daily messages here and have really enjoyed them.  Thank you all for sharing.

I also wanted to mention that I live in SW MI very near the Indiana border so the pictures of the Amish children playing are very familiar to me.  Much of my family works in Middlebury and Shipshewana.

Several Fridays ago, (Friday is my date night with my hubby), we decided to throw caution and our fuel budget out the window and go driving in search for the wonderful scent of hay.  (Farm folk will know what I'm referring to.)  We put the top down in our convertible and headed in the the heart of North Central Indiana Amish country.  What a wonderfully peaceful evening that was.  And I'm happy to report we were able to track down that lovely scent of freshly cut hay several times that evening.

    Blessings to you all!

     HI All!

Well, today the three dd's and I are going to the Historic Pomeroy HOuse for tea!  It should be fun/ It is over an hour aways, though, so please pray for safety.

    Praying for Evan's job.

Praying for the families who have been filled with the sorrow of losing a loved one.  Praying God will comfort them.

Mari, the pictures are fantastic!  Your daughters are beautiful!  I just finished reading the second of a book that had the amish as a focal point, so it was a joy to see the pictures you took.  I was looking at Amish quilts the other day, boy are they expensive!  Beautiful though....

Praying for Grannyfay, and Eddie, and others who are dealing with this cold flu whatever, that God would heal.  How are you feeling GK?

Took DS to the Dr. for his cough the other day, and the doctor says he has athsma, so now he has an inhaler and is to take zyrtec for his allergies and see her again in two weeks.  I think it is helping his cough though.

Hi to Connie, Koffee, Patty, Charles, Randy, Marly, Holly and babies!, Chris, Fishin-praying for you sister!, TAmmy, Tami, Annie,Linda, and all you other midwestern people who are escaping my mind right now....I wonder why no one else from Oregon is here....

My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
