    CUPCAKES IN A CONE

CUPCAKES IN A CONE by mother goose blog

1 box funfetti cake mix (or your favorite) mix as directed
1 reg. ice cream cone (pkg of 24)

Fill cones to just above the first line of cone and bake 15 to 18 minutes for 350 degrees. Cool and frost.

The special baking container was purchased on line through the jello website. You can just stand these on a cookie sheet in the middle of the pan. Watch your baking times, they may vary.

Thanks Twinkle, I haven't made these in a long time and I'm going to look into buying the container holder.

This takes me back to when I was a kid when we had an annual bake sale at our school. These were always a big hit and I always bought one, ok more than one lol.

    Thanks again,

    Nancy

Tip: Fill a scant half full; if cones are filled
more than this, batter will run over top. Set in square or
oblong pan and bake as directed for cupcakes.

I couldn't find the place to order the stand on the Jello website - also tried the Kraft site.  If you have it - we'd probably all like to see it.

Thanks - I always forget about this cute idea as it's very popular - and handy - for kids!

    Hi ! Nancy

I have a little hint for you.  When I bake these for the grands and great-grands I put the cones in my cupcake pans.  They make great baking holders for me.  When done I let them cool in the pans and use the pan for holders while frosting. I use my frosting bag with a large tip and swirl the frosting on top to look like an ice cream cone.  You can sprinkle the top with M&Ms, chopped nuts or any kind of sprinkles you like.  I have one that likes raisins on top. LOL

Thanks, Nancy - that looks nice but I think I'll just keep on using my cupcake pan to hold them as I've done before - it does work fine and it will save me $17.95. - LOL
