HI,
A few months ago I asked for help finding a free anitvirus program as an alternative to the McAfee that you have to pay for. Some of you had posted one that looked really good and I think someone mentioned it was the same kind they use in the electronics stores for their computers.
If you can post a link for me I would be so happy-I am having problems with the computer today and need to install this now.

I'm not sure if this is the one you are talking about. But I use it and even my "computer guy" recommends it for being the best free one available.

WEll it looks like we'll have to take the computer in to fix it. I can't install new virus software until I can uninstall McAfee-I've tried to uninstall it for an hour now and it just wont work.

I set my computer to the last restore point and that helped...I was able to uninstall most of the old virus software (which it says i must remove before I can install new free software) but still it can't untilstall one part of it...so I guess I have to find someone who knows how to do it. I just feel like pulling my hair out! My uncle does that sort of thing at his job but he is hard to get ahold of.
HOpefully I won't crash again before I get it fixed.

The AVG Anti-Virus is the one I've used for years, but I think that they are trying to phase out the free version.
